Well not a cruise balance but I had a hospital stay last January.
After the insurance payments and me paying the leftover balance. The hospital keeps sending me a bill for 6 cents! So far they have mailed me an invoice 5 times. So far they have spent $2.40 in postage alone. After numerous calls to them they still keep billing me even though the billing dept told me to ignore it and they will make it go away......not. Waiting for a collection company to call.
6 cents on a total bill of $158,000.00

This canceling of advertised ports of call has become an epidemic.
I am canceling my getaway Barcelona cruise.
The anti tourist demonstrations in some ports and the canceling of others just makes this too risky a choice with no recourse or refunds.
Maybe if the sudden cruise frenzy subsides we will consider cruising again.

Can we make a 10:20am flight out of san juan? We are in the Haven and will carry off our luggage.
If you have been cruising since 1982 I would think you already know the answer. I would not feel comfortable with that flight time. Flying is becoming more and more a crap shoot.
Take the next one and relax .

Pre covid19 we looked at a MSC cruise. MSC matched my platinum NCL status. It however took like six weeks to accomplish. I never booked the cruise because of the ponderous and ineptitude displayed by MSC customer service.
My question is have they improved their customer service?
We have a 2025 cruise booked on the Getaway out of Barcelona. Thinking of canceling mainly due to the tourist revolt going on there. Come to think of it all the ports are tightening up.

Thank you; I had thought of that BUT there is only one NCL cruise scheduled to visit Busan in 2024; the one I am on!! There on 4th April.

Most likely this port stop will be canceled to save fuel and the environment.🤭

I would open up a formal complaint with ncl management.🤣

Just curious as to how long the flight is from JFK to Hawaii?
It was 11 hours nonstop from Newark.
Was offered a first class upgrade for 300.00p.p......jumped on it.

If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, the Macdonalds, the gas station, the grocery store and the (used to be) Dollar store.
Can't do that because you need to drive and eat then give up something you don't have to have like cruising.
Love these first world rants. Move to Maui see how it is there.

Well I have noticed that the weight limit for bikinis seems to have been abolished. Fine as long as you are comfortable!
And the Speedo limit has been all but abolished!

Wonder why they didn't try taking an Uber to the border then walk through to Canada then get a ride to Vancouver.

I was able to read the article for free at the link above.
So a Eye Surgeon spends $60k and does not by trip insurance in these days of dicey plane travel? Boo Hoo.
The lady (mentioned in the article)who did buy the insurance from NCL should of bought it from a reputable insurance provider.
One thing is indisputable, conditions of carriage are stacked in the cruise lines favor and in some circumstances unfairly.
We gave up on cruising since the covid era.....glad we did. We had a good run cruising and will keep it that way.

As much as you can afford based on your desire to indulge.
Wish I had your dilemma.

We would pass on the drink package in lieu of ordering a bar setup for our room. Not sure if they still have this. It is way pricey but since it's cheaper and more convenient then the drink package. Your liquor choice from a list they have will be in your cabin when you arrive. It can be a challenge to have enough ice however.
If the bar setup is still available you will need to order it BEFORE
you board. Call NCL and inquire. I like making my own drinks in my cabin the way I like them.
We would order a glass of wine here and a beer there and pay for that will obc.

Just when you thought NCL'S degradation has bottomed out they still seen to find new ways to screw their customers.

As @MeHeartCruising pointed out, you will be on a private train, not a regularly scheduled one, so expect delays. On our first visit to Warnemunde, our ship's departure was delayed for more than an hour as we waited for the train to return from Berlin with several hundred passengers. The train takes about 2-1/2 hours each way. If the tour is planned for six hours of free time in Berlin, that makes for an awfully long day. I realize that Berlin is a bucket list destination, but it deserves more than a half day to see it all. My suggestion would be to visit Rostock, instead. It's a lovely town with lots to see and do, about 15 to 20 minutes from the dock. You can take a train from the station right next to the pier in Warnemunde. There also are bus tours available through NCL or private tour providers which stop at the downtown area as well as a nearby castle. Save Berlin for another time when you can spend several days there.
This...... good advice!

Your writing style and descriptions of this unfortunate event are superb. Reminds me of a poster way back named Sailor Jack and his adventures on a South American cruise when his NCL cruise ship was stuck in a bay for a number of days. This was due to another ship carrying cars in front of them lost a few of them and clogged the channel.
Hopefully this won't happen to the Prima on your cruise!
With all the cruise lines trying to lure customers to their brand with race cars, thrill rides etc, in the end it's the way customer service treats its passengers that people remember.

Do I need a double bathroom sink on a cruise? Rather have the counter space if there are no towel hooks/ racks.
It's like buying a Mercedes with crank windows🤣

It's hard for me to believe that after all the calls to NCL they would not see their error (if there is one) and correct the problem.
Why would they want the all the negative attention to their brand for $5k.
One thing for sure NCL needs some smarter more capable customer service people.
My mil still uses EarthLink!

ok, has ncl finally crossed the line?

If I had booked airfare and a hotel or two and now it's all for naught due to a major itinerary change AFTER final payment that would make me look elsewhere for a cruise.
I have a Barcelona cruise booked for 9/2025 on the Getaway.
Hope it leaves from there. I'm on the fence whether to cancel or not. Many of the ports have been experiencing tourist demonstrations. Can't say I blame them.
