  1. All of the tours I have looked at so far have no age limits, so I have definitely considered that aspect.

RLBLack... thank you for the information. I did not know the seaplanes were that noisy. Although I do not think this will be an issue for my son. He is pretty adventurous and he will not have an issue keeping the ear phones on. What company did you go with when you were there?

Price isn't neccesarily the issue (although cheaper is ALWAYS better, of course!), we just want to find something that is fun and safe.

I'd love to hear anyone's experiences with seaplanes.

  2. We have an Alaskan Cruise booked in August. We are going to Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and we are also spending a few nights in Anchorage. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a seaplane tour? My son is three, so we don't want to do anything too extravegant, but we think he will love going up in a little plane.

    All recommendations/advice is appreciated!

  3. If you are talking about Chileno Bay.. it is not too bad of a drive from Cabo San Lucas. It was about half way between Cabo San Lucas and where we stayed (San Jose Del Cabo)... and it took us about 15 minutes to get there... 20 at most. Santa Maria Bay was also right next to Chileno Bay and we wanted to check that beach out too, but we ran out of time...

And like I said, when we were there the water was kind of murky... and we were told that was because of the storm. So if that is the truth, I can only imagine how beautiful the water is on an average day.

  4. We went to Chileno Bay last Friday when we were in Cabo. It was right after a storm so the water was still a little bit stirred up, but regardless, we saw a ton of pretty fish, and we didn't even have any snorkel gear... I'm just talking about looking down and seeing them swimming around by your feet. I'm sure it would have been even more interesting if we had snorkel gear, but we were in Cabo for a land vacation and just drove there... we did not go with any tours. There were several different boats that we saw bringing snorkelers into the area, and they seemed to have a good time.
