There has been quite a bit of information on FB concerning this.  More than one person has commented that all new carpeting, flooring, and a big update on rooms is being done.  900 plus people working on her around the clock.  Also, Starlink is being installed.   Hopefully, all that is true.

has anyone heard if the ship is going into dry dock in April for a refurb? someone mentioned that in a post but can't seem to find if its true or not/

does anyone have a service they have used in the past.  we decided to not use the transfers with the cruise line as they are so expensive.  Once we get to the scandic we should be able to get taxis to the port easily.. thanks in advance

Was wondering if anyone has taken a tour or train from Le Harve to Versaille.  We have a cruise on NCL in late July and right now they have nothing posted except for a few Paris tours.. Not interested in a three-hour bus ride to spend just a few hours in Paris and three hours back.

We are on the Dawn next year and our trip ends in Southampton.  we asked for an air deviation of two days so we can see London.  Does anyone know if NCL flies out of Southampton back to the States or will they fly us out of Heathrow or one of the other London airports?  We are thinking of doing our own hotels but are a bit concerned about what city to book them in.  thanks in advance

Sorry should have said that.  We leave the. 28 of May.  Been counting down for weeks.  Lol. 

was hoping someone can answer a quick question.   We have a tour scheduled when we come off the ship that lasts 4.5 hours.  We get back to the dock around 8:00 with the ship leaving at 11:00.  Was wondering if there is much still open in the evening.  We just miss the Tram, it closes at 8:00.  Thanks in advance.

Absolutely plan on one day.  We’re headed to Alaska so one day sounds awesome

thank you for this. ... had no idea it was an option. Our flight doesn't leave Seattle till 11:30 that night and thought we had to take them to the airport prior to touring the city.  

Does anyone know the daily rate of the spa on NCL's Encore?    All I can find is 299 per person for the week.

Hi everyone

This is our first cruise to Alaska on NCL Encore, and we are so excited.  We leave the 28th of May, and return the 4th of June.  Was hopeful someone could tell us how the weather will be concerning mostly temps.  Also is there a board on what you've packed in the past?  Did you take boots? etc.

Love these boards as they are always full of great people that want to share their past experiences.

I went back to my NCL Rep and we booked on the   Breakaway going to Greece and Italy, May 25th of 2023.  Actually price was much better, and because of everything he actually upgraded us to a mini suite, some other perks, besides all of the goodies they are giving out right now.  10% should hit my account by friday or monday.  I'm sorry about the ship but excited about the trip

mine was canceled yesterday for a June 25, 2023 date.  Only good thing I'll say is I'm getting an additional 10% off our next cruise.

thank you for all the content.  We are on the Viva next June an one of the tours was the game of thrones tour.  I'd love to do this off the ship and save some money for some other ports.

Has anyone done a tour off ship that they feel comfortable sharing their name with us.

Are your Universal ticket for the day you get back from your cruise? Or the day before you depart? :confused:

 

For the former, why waste both rental car $$ and parking $$ during your cruise. It doesn't take "hours" for a local rental car agency to pick you up at the ship and take you to their local agency. There are no one-way drop of charges on rental cars in Florida. Rent the car when you fly in. Drive to PC to stay the night. drop the car off at the local PC/Cocoa Beach agency the morning you leave. They'll take you to the terminal, bags and baggage. then second book a rental for the day you return. If you miss one shuttle there'll be another shortly. The local agencies have numbers you can call from the ship and ask about pick up.

 

For the latter, book the rental for the day you return and follow the same procedure as above.

 

If you insist on parking your rental. There's a $8-9/day park and cruise lot just 5 minutes from the terminal. You won't have you wait long for a shuttle back. See the threads on Park N Cruise Port Canaveral on this board.

Actually after. We found a rental for ten days for 300.00 for a full size, less that the price of two days dropping and picking up. So we are just keeping the car. Maybe looking at the pricing we will just keep the car at the hotel.

Can someone please give me the name of the best, and closes parking at the pier where the Freedom is docked. I have the option to leave my rental at the comfort inn and suites, but we have tickets to Universal that day and hate to waste hours waiting for a shuttle.
