  1. As a non-drinker who travels with my sister, who can put away some beers, I find it discriminatory that all adults in the cabin have to purchase the CHEERS package. (Especially as controlled as it is with the scanning of the ship and sail card every time and having your picture come up on screen!) She thought about buying it for both of us...not that she would get to 30 beers a day, but it was a thought! We'll see what her tab comes out to at the end of our 8 day cruise at $5.95 a beer (plus the 15%!) Now if I did still drink...Bailey's in my coffee; mimosas and screwdrivers with brunch; frozen drinks at the pool; cocktails before and after dinner and wine with dinner, it would be a no brainer!!!

I agree, about the both adults have to order the package. Makes no since to me. My sister does not drink either and she would still have to get the drink package with me. No way can I drink 30 of anything in a day.

  2. On Carnival are the drink packages worth it? also how do they know it's me getting the drink? Can I send someone else up to get my drink using my card?

Can I buy specialty coffee with it? Can I buy someone else a drink on my card?

    Thank for the help.

  3. U243 aft facing will be a bit (1-2 feet) longer than an inside, R298, cabin. Confirm that the cabins are fully HC and not Modified.

ETA--if you're doing the four day cruise--Carnival is using the old Catalina Ferries. They are roll on, capable of taking wheelchairs and scooters.

I was hoping someone has stayed in either of these cabins. Or maybe someone has their own pictures, not the stock Carnival pictures.

  4. Wow,Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. We are on the Imagination 4 day out of Long Beach CA. We are having about 75 pp and 26 are sailing with us. We are only doing the 1 hour reception. What do you think about the buffet for the guest before the wedding?

Pictures? Do they take a lot of time and are the good? Did they offer a package or did you buy just a few pictures? Did you have non-sailing guests? Was the cabin ready for the bride when you got on board? We have 3 Tuxes ordered hopefully they will be in the cabin waiting? The wedding takes place in one area and then you move some place else?

Thank you I'm sure we have a million more questions.

  5. Yeah thats awesome!! Glad you had a fabuloys day, have you posted some pics here? Would love to see them!

I know its been a while since your wedding, but my niece is getting married on Carnival Feb 8th. and hoping you can give us some tips? Some of the pictures on your post were deleted. We were thinking of also putting in the gift bag a small note of some kind with who is in each cabin as we have 26 pp sailing and 12 cabins.

    Thank you ahead of time.

  6. The Imagination is identical to the Inspiration, just with different decor. The ship review starts at post #4.

Great info. We have cruised on many different ship but never on the Imagination. We normally have an OV,so this will be different. On Carnival we have had good handicapped cabins and not so good ones. So hope this is one of the big ones for the wheelchair.

  7. Yours is one of the reasons I started the HAL Staterooms/Cabins websit. I hate generic photos that MIGHT not even resemble what I get.

[/url]-- Thank you so very much for the info. I will be sure and take pictures of the cabin and bathroom and post when I return. It really helps when planning to see what you will really be staying in. I agree with you the handicapped cabins are sometimes not laid out or in the best place on the ship.I am not sure who designs the cabins but give a real handicapped person the drawing board and things would be a lot better. One can only wish.

    Thanks again:D

  8. I'm sure this has been asked and answered a million times. But please could someone give me info on the two handicapped cabins VA6001 and VA6002. We have both cabins booked for July 31,out of Copenhagen. I have seen the stock Hall pictures but it really is not showing me enough. Dad is in a wheelchair and can not walk. I'm wondering how much room there is to move around with the wheelchair? There also will be 3 of us in the cabin, how is the room lay out and will we have enough room as in storage and move around.

    Thank you :o
