Looking for recommendations for hotel stay for friends .... wants to visit NYC pre-cruise (Cape Liberty).  Flying into EWR - easy access to NYC (ie., Path/Train) and offer shuttle service from hotel to port.

Sailing on the HOS in a couple of weeks and deciding about purchasing drink package (Ultimate) - we are Diamond so have access to the Diamond club and/or the 3 drinks loaded on Seapass between 5-8 pm. I hear some sailings on other RCL ships offer a 10 drink package at discounted price (saw that Empress offered 10 drinks for $59) .. Anyone sail on Harmony recently and know if they offer this promotion onboard?

Thank you for the responses .. guess my next question would be .. is there any way to get some chairs up there? I'm sure if we give our cabin steward an extra tip that may work .... any thoughts?

I surprised my husband on Christmas ...we are sailing the HOS at end of February.. and upgraded to a Junior Suite ...his Christmas present consisted in opening in order 1. A cruise ship ornament ..#2 a box of JUNIOR mints & #3 a box of SWEETtarts ... it took him a while but finally figured it out [emoji848][emoji41]

Anybody have experience with the forward facing cabins on Deck 8 of Empress of Seas - I'm looking at Deck 9 and it is 'open space' - so wondering what type of noise can be heard in these cabins. Thanks for any feedback on these cabins

Any info on the usability of the Royal IQ app would be appreciated. I used it when sailing the Anthem in Oct for the calendar & Cruise Compass. We will be sailing the Harmony in a couple of weeks with some other couples, so wondering how the messaging/calling others that also have the app is working out? Also, is it $7.95 a day or for the length of the cruise (while onboard)?

When does reservations for CK open up? I have a GTY Deluxe/Junior Suite booked (sailing 2/25/17) and it is not giving me the option to select Coastal Kitchen for reservation.

What has been experience on booking a GTY stateroom? We have booked a W-Deluxe/Suite Guarantee room for a Harmony 2/25/17 sailing. Still waiting on room assignment (understand it could be up to day of sailing) - but just curious to hear experience of booking this category.
