You are correct.  Overnight parking and 24 hour access is allowed at Earlington Heights, however it is allowed for those who use the MetroRail or Metrobus ONLY.  If you are noticed leaving via Uber by any employee or Miami Dade police officer, you car can be towed as this is a violation of the Miami Dade parking lot rules at his lot.

I guess I got lucky since the guard helped us with our luggage. We waited for the Uber right outside the office with out any problem.

I've been following you on the Florida forum and you convinced me to park at Earlington, thanks for the tip.

well i deed it. All was good. We booked it for the week. I believe the cost was about $64.00 including the UBERS. We parked 3 cars from the armed guard, who was extremely helpful. The uber rides were about 10 minutes each way. I certainly would do this again ,  thanks Neptuno

I agree...we are going in February 2020 and I am loving the posts of the menu's.  We were just on Princess 2 weeks ago and we go on NCL in September.  So I am looking forward to trying out MSC to see how we like it.  The Yacht Club looks awesome....and I am looking forward to trying their pizza which I heard was delicious!

We just got off the Seaside YC this morning. The ship and cruise was wonderful. The staff was excellent. I too heard that the pizza was delicious, I was very disappointed, I found nothing special at all.

This is good info for the Florida Departures forum.  There is public ramp off-site at Earlington Heights Metro Station, charging $4.50/day with 24/7 armed Sheriff security.  You can pay by phone with their app, self park and Uber or Lyft for $8-15 each way to the port, about a ten minute ride;  no waiting for those unreliable shuttles.

See you onboard! We are on the same sailing! Packed and ready to go!

Most definitely. We are in S Florida for the winter so we'll pack a day before cruise, we still need our clothes for the next 2 weeks.

  6. I haven't sailed on MSC yet, Feb 23 will be my 1st one. I have sailed many times on NCL in The Haven, free drinks as well, and we had to pay Florida sales tax, hopefully MSC will be different.

Is there still a Casa de Habanos in Georgetown?  I'd like to pick up some cigars whilst in port. I'm always confident of the authenticity of the cigars when buying there.  Any other recommendations for reputable tobacconists?

According to the web it's open today from 9-5:30 La Casa Del Habano

We stopped at 2 stations just off I95, both were $2.699...these were well north of Ft. LAUDERDALE.   Finally at exit 131 gas was $2.199.  GAS BUDDY finds low prices but do you want to drive to central miami?

You must have stopped in Boca. I f you would have driven to Deerfield Beach, the next town south, gas is $2.199 as well.

  9. I will be bringing my son's family with us on our next cruise. I was wondering if the Royal Suite can sleep 5, they will have their 3 daughter with them 10, 9 and 4. When i try to book on line it only allows me to book 4, will MSC allow me to bring in a cot or some other kind of bed?
