  1. Hello all.  Both spouse and I are vaccinated (both doses).  I know Celebrity cancelled all cruises into the beginning of June, 2021.  I am told the Lift and Shift has been extended to our cruise, set to leave on June 17, 2021.  I really WANT this cruise to happen, so I am ready to pay in full.  However, if the cruise does not happen, and the cruise line goes into bankruptcy, I really don't want them taking my 7K with them.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Does anybody really think this European cruise, departing from Amsterdam, is going to happen?

  2. Hello All. I posting this on both the Celebrity board and the Carnival board. I would certainly appreciate any input on the choice I will soon make between the Reflection or the Sunshine for our holiday cruise (Christmas 2014). My husband and I, and two kids (daughter 14 and son 11) have placed deposits on both cruises. We have cruised as a family for many years, and have been on many lines, but primarily return to Celebrity and Carnival. I love the drink package on Celebrity, but, not crazy about the limited pool access for children. We are booked in cabin 9122 Family Room on Sunshine, and booked in cabin 6229 on Reflection. Thank you for any anticipated advice.

  4. I believe we rented it from 1-5 PM. When we got there, the people ahead of us did not get back on time and we were held up until almost 2 PM. The owner assured us that we would have a four hour rental and that the time would begin when we left the dock. There is a small store right at the dock that you can buy snacks and soda from. Alcohol is not sold in Bermuda on Sunday. I think the Dawn arrives at 11 PM and we had plenty of time to get lunch and take the bus to Somerset Village. Have the bus driver leave you off after the bridge. There is sidewalk on that side of the street and it is much safer to walk on a sidewalk than on the edge of the road. We got left off before the bridge and it was scary getting down into the village.

Hi All. Do you recall the bus # that will take you from the Dockyard to Sommerset Bridge?

  5. Were you told that onboard or on land. We were told no before the trip but were suprised how easy it was when asking (very politely) onboard. As they had a form made up for people to sign to agree to the downgrade it looked like they were set up to do this.

And did you have to make that request at Guest Relations on the first day? Or, were you able to make this request at one of the bars?

Thanks all for your responses. I can see we are not alone on the lack of a NO-ALCOHOL premium quandary.

  6. Hello All. Just placed a deposit on the Reflection. My husband does not drink alcohol, at all. I do like beer and wine. Our TA booked us with the drink package, and I told her that my husband loves the premium waters (as well as juices) and coffees, but, he does not want alcohol. I asked if he could get the PREMIUM NON-ALCH package, and I would get the regular alcohol package. She said we could not do that, but I could upgrade him one we get on board, from regular alcohol package, to premium alcohol package, for a fee, and then he can enjoy the premium waters. This seems silly. Any advice?

  7. Thanks Tinkerbella, that makes me feel good that Rudy's other guides are "up to par." Gumballz, thanks for the other ideas, we will take your advice!

  8. We will be booking with Rudy in December, but he, himself, will not be available. From reading these posts, I am hopeful that we will get a tour guides that is as competent as Rudy. As I understand it, we pay for the tour upon the tour's completion. Does Rudy take credit cards? I love the idea of the Mercado, we will be requesting that. Any other suggestions on that line? Thanks for the anticipated responses.
