Can you give us the name of this family run company for tours?

We used a company called IGTours and their sister company FabTours. They were really helpful and replied to our emails quickly. I hadn't realised it was 2018 when we cruised to Iceland.

I also bought the Marco Polo Perfect Days in Iceland guide book which is very good, maps of the town's and information.

There is a blog by Mike Preisman that I found on CC which was very helpful as well,

the website is Visit our Cruise/Vacation Review website at www.thepreismans.com

Hope you have a lovely time.

  2. When we went to Iceland( not with Regent) we booked shore excursions direct with a family run company. They also provided packages of 2 or 3 tours to match the cruise ships itinerary, which worked out cheaper. The company were very good and the tour was a small group.

I know that doesn't help when you think you are getting free excursions but Iceland was a beautiful country, even in the rain, and it would be a shame not too see more,

  3. Our flight was 9pm, we booked online into the Copacabana Beach Resort, Carlisle Bay, pay on arrival. It was $40 each for sun bed, umbrella, secure lockup for luggage, lockers for valuables, beach towels, showers and towels to freshen up before leaving for the airport. There's a restaurant and bar on site. It's a short taxi ride from the dock and about half hour to the airport.  Will definitely go there again after a cruise.

  4. We were offered a 6 hour Island tour after our cruise.  As we were still going to arrive at the airport 6 hours before our Virgin flight to Heathrow we booked into the Copacabana Beach Resort, Carlisle Bay. They have a secure lock up area for luggage, lockers for valuables, showers and toiletries, beach chairs, umbrellas and towels, $40 each.  There is also a bar and restaurant on site and they will arrange a taxi to the airport if required. You can book online and pay when you arrive at the resort. A lovely way to spend out last day.

  5. We have just come off a B2B in the Caribbean. Everybody did have to disembark the Ship in San Juan. Excursions were provided, and as ours was an early morning one it didn't affect us. Information was given to us prior to arrival in San Juan as to what the procedure would be.

  6. Thanks Alsun for taking the time to tell us about your cruise, brought back memories of our cruise to Norway last year, although I think we had a lot more rain!!

You must have read my mind because you've posted a copy of The Insider, I'd been wondering what activities were available each day. I love going to see the Guest Speakers, they can be really interesting.

Your Cruise may be coming to an end.... my clothes are on the bed ready to be packed to join Pursuit on Monday and then sailing away to' sunny' Iceland!!

Enjoy you last couple of days on Pursuit, look forward to hearing about your Chefs Table experience, we haven't booked yet, but are tempted.

    Safe journey home.
