  1. I am sailing on Disney Fantasy in November, and I am a little confused about the main dining rooms.  I understand that it is rotational dining, and on a 7-night cruise we will eat in each dining room/restaurant twice, and one restaurant, three times.  My question lies with the menus - on all other commercial cruise lines, the main dining room menus change each night, but in my research I have only seen one menu posted online specific to each of the 3 restaurants onboard.  Does each dining room have only one menu for that particular restaurant, or does it change each night like on a typical cruise?  To clarify, will we have to choose from the same dinner menu each time we eat in a certain location?  Thanks in advance for the help!

  2. When you complete the check-in process on the app, you will be asked to select a Check-In time.  I believe the earliest time available is 11 or 11:30, and it is possible, based on when everyone completes the check-in process, that all may not be able to get the same time.  Before COVID, you could show up at any time, but in my experience since then, they do try to adhere to the times you are given.  I have seen people show up at the port early, only to have them told to wait outside until their scheduled arrival time.  I have not personally done an embarkation in Vancouver since COVID, but I would imagine that it is similar to other ports.  My point is, don't expect to show up at 10:15 and get on the ship first thing.

  3. I can only give you my personal experience - I am Elite, and my mother, who I often sail with, is Select.  When they used to have the Happy hour or priority boarding, she would come with me and they never had an issue including her.   Now that the benefits are less structured, I don't know how that would work.

This will be our first time having a drink package (the standard one) and we aren't sure how this works.  Do you get a card they stamp every time you get a drink?  How many alcoholic drinks and how many non-alcoholic drinks are allowed?  We are booked on the Celerity Apex.  Thank you for helping us sort this out.

There is no punch card or anything with Celebrity.  You simply use your Seapass card when ordering drinks - it's indicated on the card which Beverage package you have - which in your case appears to be the Classic package.  Celebrity also does not impose a firm limit on number of drinks like Princess does.  Have fun - Apex is a gorgeous ship!

    Hi,

I know this may come across as a strange question but I am just wondering if they have a silent disco on Princess cruises? We have been on Celebrity in the past and have enjoyed them so just wondering.

    Thanks

I LOVE the Silent Disco on Celebrity.  It's so much fun!!

  6. Thanks everyone!  My intention certainly was not to ignite arguments, but rather help determine what I should pack.  I appreciate that everyone has different opinions about what they consider to be "appropriate", but after years sailing with Celebrity where jeans are included in their suggested attire and the dress code is much more relaxed (i.e. Evening Chic has replaced "Formal Night"), I simply didn't want to look out of place.   Thank you for all of the feedback.

  7. I am scheduled to sail on Regal Princess at the end of January, and was wondering if jeans are acceptable attire in the MDR (not formal night) and specialty restaurants.  I have been sailing Celebrity almost exclusively for the past several years and jeans are acceptable in the MDR.  This is my first sailing on Princess in quite some time and I don't want to be dressed inappropriately.  Many thanks!

I was talking about a line for appointments to board the ship.  I know there is a line for suites.  I was asking how many other lines were there.   I was asking if X made any changes since the last time.

I was asked by shore personnel when I arrived what time was my check in and directed to a very short line and was within the terminal in a couple minutes.  Once inside on the first floor, they did the health check in and took pictures of our vaccination cards.  We were then directed up the escalator to the second floor through bag check, where they checked our passports again, gave us our tracelets, express pass scanned and then were sent to the gangway, where our express passes were scanned one last time.  The process was quick and painless.

  9. I arrived at the port at 11:50am for a 12:00 Check in.  I was onboard in under 20 minutes from getting out of my Lyft, in my cabin at 12:11.  Testing was cancelled, and the process was quick and painless.  There was a heavy presence at the terminal of Celebrity shoreside staff, in addition to the terminal employees.  All crew onboard are masked, as well as many passengers.

  10. I’m sailing on Equinox tomorrow and am very concerned with what we might encounter.  I understand there seem to be extenuating circumstances on the previous, disembarking cruise, but I hope they figure out a way to make it go smoother tomorrow.  I have a 12:00 check in time, and can’t imagine standing in the sun for 4 hours trying to get onboard.  Fingers crossed they figure it out by tomorrow.

  11. I live in the Fort Lauderdale area and in my experience, Lyft is almost always cheaper than Uber.  I know it is a matter of preference, but I recently priced out both from my home to the port and Lyft was less than half the price, however, conversely, I often find my wait time for Lyft is longer than Uber.   It's worth looking at both options on the day of to see what works out best for you.

  12. I'm scheduled to sail on  the 8/1 sailing, and a couple of days ago called to find out the cost to add a third guest in our cabin.  I was told that the sailing had reached its maximum capacity for triples and quads and the only option I had was to book that person as a single.  I have a feeling they are keeping the ship capacity fairly low for a while.

  13. I spoke with Celebrity a couple of days ago about this, as I am sailing on the 8/1 Equinox voyage, and they said online check in was not yet available for the Equinox, and likely would be at approximately 30-days out.  My guess is that they are holding up all Equinox sailings for the moment.  She said to keep checking back or I will receive an email when it is available.

  14. It looks like Princess was busy issuing FCC's yesterday.  I received mine as well yesterday, but no sign of my refund.  While I do understand circumstances are unlike anyone could have anticipated, my biggest issue with Princess is the lack of real communication.  Other than the "canned" emails that everyone else has received, I've received no contact from Princess at all, and on the occasion that I have called and spoken with a rep, they have NO information at all.  I hope that my refund was indeed processed yesterday along with my FCC, but I am not holding my breath.
