Seems a bit pointless as there are numerous bridge photos of many Celebrity ships on the net!

You have to change your password. I had the same problem on both my RC and Celebrity account.
Done - thankyou

Both on the web and smartphone app I am unable to sign in to my Celebrity account this morning - anyone else? I know the details are correct.

Sounds like a nightmare and unacceptable. Shows a very erratic course on Marine Traffic.

Do the airlines tell you what the exact reason is why your scheduled aircraft has been replaced with another aircraft at the last moment, causing a delay? Not in my experience, it is just a "due to a mechanical problem" explanation. Why should cruise lines be different? How many aircraft fly with deferred maintenance items? Quite a lot. Cruise ships are the same, except a cruise ship can perform the maintenance underway, while an aircraft cannot.
I don't think there's any comparison. Your unlikely to have spent so much on a flight and certainly not on the plane for 12 nights!
As has been mentioned, if Celebrity said there was an issue with an engine due to maintenance thus reducing speed, personally I would have no issue. If it was something else, I might. Would engine maintenance last several months - possibly as there are several and this is a possible explanation.
Celebrity need to take steps to avoid the speculation.

I don't recall any post saying Apex was unseaworthy. I think those of us who are paying considerable amounts for cruises on Apex are entitled to know why this ship alone is affected by speed restrictions and in the absence of that information from Celebrity, speculation is bound to arise. If they continue to be secretive, that would concern me.

Can I suggest that we all email Celebrity and ask for the reason the speed limitation is being imposed on Apex.

I think Celebrity need to be open and honest with their customers. I'll give it a while and depending on outcome and feedback, may decide to pull the plug on this one before final payment. My wife suffers from vertigo and is not the best of sailors in poor conditions and a stabiliser issue would not be ideal.

Also received a similar email with adjusted port times for Apex September 7 Iceland and Scotland. Wondering if it is an engine issue.
I think it must be as only Apex appears to be affected so far and Celebrity seem secretive on the reason for the need for speed reduction.

Norway has been passing a bunch of cruise ship regulations lately. most likely related to them.

Early June or October are the best times.

For some strange reason you appear to have vanished from Marine Traffic. Last position 6 days ago east of Italy!

Southampton port schedule has been updated arrival Sunday 10 PM, Departure Monday 4PM
Any news from the Silhouette?
I would be more inclined to follow this. All sorts of factors including other port traffic, pilotage availability, berthing crew etc. Doesn't mean that a ship can just rock up and get immediate attention! Given the uncertainty I fail to see why Celebrity doesn't make a call now and allow passengers to stay on board till early morning, that way everyone knows what they are dealing with including those boarding for the TA. Are they serious about dumping passengers on shore Sunday night to find own accommodation?

Latest word from the ship is afternoon departure around 16.00 from Lisbon and anticipated arrival in Southampton 21.00 Sunday which is still dependent on the bad weather forecast.

Wow... that is going to be a mess. Think of all the missed flights, hotel reservations, car services etc.
Port of Lisbon website currently shows Silhouette estimated departure time 22.00 hours tonight.

I figured that is what they did. Wonder if the passengers were able to spend the evening in Lisbon.
They were unable to sail as the port was closed due to the weather. I suspect a very late arrival on Sunday.
No more photos on a bridge tour

Obviously I meant a ban on taking bridge photos seems pointless
