  1. I too am allergic to feathers/down. Used to be able to request poly pillows when making cabin choices/request. No longer option but stewerd has always been able to replace 2 feather pillows. Comforter not down.

Have also made request at all hotels and confirmed on check in. Never an issue but hospitality industry seems more cautious dealing with allergies.

Hello from the Emerald Princess.  Yes, we did have on bumpy night and day, but seas are now very smooth.  Looks a little overcast today.  I hope then sun comes out.  Tomorrow is Honolulu, our first port.  All good on board.   My one complaint (hey, this is Cruise Critic right?)  is the entertainment.   My main activity at night is listening to the music in the lounges.  No traditional Wheelhouse singers.    A guy playing a Steel pan……what ever that is.  This Hawaii cruise is kind of a one off for Emerald and the Music is mostly Latin and Caribbean ( lots of Reggie from the party band).   Not a real “Hawaiian feeling” on board.  I guess I miss Tiki Dave LOL.

We board April 5 and always have enjoyed Crooners piano entertainment.  Who is playing at Crooners now?

    Many thanks!

Have you thought of just ordering soup & a salad & possibly something if you have a sweet tooth?  I like the idea of a sit down meal & not having to deal with the crowds in the buffet & traveling solo where do I put my carryon?

    Just a thought.

    Tom😀

The few times cabin was not available,  we were able to take carry-ons to MDR and staff showed us were to leave during lunch.

    No worries!

You can also take a taxi or Uber/Lyft from the hotel, may be cheaper than a Princess transfer?

Yes, the Seaport area in Boston is where ships dock so all hotels in area are nearby. Some passengers may even walk to pier.

We'll be onboard the Emerald for a full transit Panama Canal Cruise from LA to Fort Lauderdale next year, followed by a 14 day true Circle Caribbean (not a B2B). I've booked us a port side Caribe deck deluxe balcony. I've already reserved the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast for our Panama Canal day. Now we're looking forward to a UBD at some point. My question.... which would be the best port scenically to enjoy such a great dinner?

My choices (based on sail away times) are Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Puntarenas, Cartagena, Guadaloupe, St Lucia, St Vincent, and Trinidad. Seven of these are new ports for us and the eighth, St Lucia, I know is lovely at sail away.

I'd appreciate any comments about which would be the nicest, thanks!

We had a lovely UBD on late evening departure from Curacao on a Circle Carribean this March. Since ship didn't leave till after 9pm, we were able to enjoy dinner without fear of windy conditions.

Hope that might be an option for you.

  6. Many thanks to all for some helpful info.

While I wait for call backs, some responses:

There is NO deposit listed on the booking.

Found email from John, CVP in spam. It looks legit but not sure, no mention of booking this cruise. Sent him email and vmail re this.

    No extra charges on cc

Not sure how to check if it's a Hold as looks very much like our planned booking

Will try going via our TA too.

Any contact info for Princess Customer Solutions?

1-800 774-6237, but I doubt they’re going to have anything on file for you. Are you saying it came through as an email on your Princess account? I honestly don’t think I would worry about it ,if you don’t see  a credit card charge ( deposit)on any of your credit cards .I wouldn’t worry about this ,it’s a scam .

Do you have a princess captains circle account? If you do ,go into that and you should be able to see any booked cruises and the details.

I do see that the op posted today that they just booked a March 3rd cruise ( Emerald Princess roll call) and posted on a roll call, so......??

Op  may very well need to pay for a cruise that they just booked because it’s already past final payment for a March 3 cruise , but this thread is becoming crazier and crazier.

Yes this unrequested cruise appears on my Captains Curcle account. That's when we first noticed it after we had paid for the March 3 cruise.

  8. We never paid a deposit nor did we make request for this cruise.info just appeared today on my account.

Last night we did receive cold call from a John who claimed to be from Princess. He mentioned this cruise but we never agreed to it as we are not available for dates etc. He did know our Princess info but we never gave credit card info and no charges related to this booking on our account.

Who above customer service at Princess should we contact??

  9. Please direct us to best phone/email to resolve issue.

Today we found that we were booked on a cruise with over $7000 due Feb 3.

We never requested nor received notification!

Tried customer service but they were to charge cancellation fee and said we could request reimbursement from insurance. But we never requested nor paid for this so don't have the insurance!

    Any help greatly appreciated.
