There are two different kinds of exercise bicycles in the gym, the regular ones (that have a TV) and then other more streamlined bicycles that look to have a place to put your phone.  (I personally am not familiar with a spin bike but whatever these are, there are a bunch of them! Brand is Technogym if that helps).

(And the only scale I have found on board is tucked away in the gym as well. I sure hope it was broken when I tested it... 🤕

Thanks for the information about the spin bikes. With regard to a scale in the gym, I have found that most scales including those in doctor’s offices and medical clinics are very inaccurate so as a general rule I stay off of them. 🤣🤣

  2. Well, I would think if they are truly a class act, and promised “Luxury Accommodations, breakfast and transfer to the ship” they would stand by what they offered. I have booked my own room to be on the safe side, but it would be nice if they came through. But I am not holding my breath. $300.00 is not going to go far in Miami.

Regent also confirmed PH, charged us for it, then backtracked and put us in Concierge Class, refunded us the difference and we are now waitlisted. Won’t hold by breath either on this one.

    Thus far somewhat underwhelmed.

  3. My wife and I are booked on our 1st Regent  cruise departing Miami,  March 25. As part of our package we see we were promised  “luxury overnight hotel stay, breakfast and transfer to the ship”

Our TA Advises that the hotel(s) Regent uses In Miami are full and they are refunding  $150 per person in lieu. In checking availability for Miami hotels at the four-star and up level range from about $550 a night to over $3000. With Regent’s  “allowance”, that will get us at the Marriott courtyard near the airport, breakfast at McDonalds and an Uber to the Ship. A Check of rates show no hotels as being sold out. Just very pricey.

I am wondering had there been “room” what hotel does Regent use in Miami? Any other suggestions?

  4. Final payment, (over 30k) due for Holiday Cruise to Antartica soon. Of course no one has a crystal ball, but it would be hard to think it will go. Especially with the need for international (now virtually non-existent) flights from the US

Very reluctant to make final payment and unless Seabourn extends the deadline, (August 24) my wife and I (sadly) will let it go.

  5. Nice letter from Captain apologizing for "brown water" Water back to normal. $1000.00 per suite credit toward future cruise, per suite, 24 months to use. Very nice gesture.

A very delightful cruise thus far. In Cadiz today. Weather is spectacular. On our way to Gibraltar tonight with a "heads up" from CD Rico about the possibility of having to skip the stop due to weather. Ship set to depart at 10:30.

Very rough ride last night from Funchal. Very windy at the port. So we shall see.

  6. The water in the bottles is Niagara. I asked to talk to the Hotel Manager and the rooms manager came to my door and explained about the sediment three days ago. The water was more toward brown last night. But today, not as brown and more yellow. (It's not chlorine as it does not smell)

5th visit my the plumbers to our suite this morning to unclog the sink and shower heads.

This morning, I suggested at the desk that as passengers we should be advised in writing as to the health and safety concerns and the prognoses for repairs. I politely emphasized that I was not looking for compensation, but felt strongly that information is lacking.

I was assured that the their offices in Monte Carlo and Fort Lauderdale were working with the ships engineers and that information would be forthcoming in a letter to the passengers.

  7. We have had water issues since departing Fort Lauderdale. We had rough seas the the 1st couple of days and we were having problems with water pressure. We were told that the rough seas dislodged a lot of sentiment in the tanks and as such a lot of the shower heads and sinks were clogging up. The plumbers have been responsive, (4 visits to our room thus far) Staff is very apologetic.

The water has been a bit discolored, but we've been assured that it's tested everyday and safe.

We have had smooth seas for the last several days, but the water today as we departed Funchi today is very, very yellow. To the point that if you try and rinse a towel, it turns yellow. Personally, I not happy taking a shower or even sending laundry out, or even rinsing out clothing.

They are now delivering large bottles of water to every stateroom. It's really time for them to address the issue by way of announcement and assure us that the water is safe.

Other than that, the cruise has been fantastic in all other regards. Staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. Food and wine and programs are top notch.

There is grumbling about the change of policy on the free internet, and their website claimed that the a new interactive video system on the Wind was being installed on the last dry dock. That did not happen. TV's are badly in need of replacing.
