  1. Where are you seeing Fall of 2025? Only seeing Europe  Asia and South America for Sept on

    Alaska is up, Canada too.

3rd party sights have Aus/NZ but no prices until a few days ago.

PCC says Hal is working on them.

I heard that mid Nov from the future cruise consultant on S America cruise so still waiting 2 months later.

We are on your cruise as noted in the roll call.  We are arriving on July 7 and have reservation at Reykjavik Residence Hotel/Apartments.  It gets rave reviews on tripadvisor....

We are at this same hotel Gary, arriving in the evening on July 7th.  Booked it right after booking cruise because it sells out quickly.    I did the Golden Circle tour 25 years ago but my friend hasn't so will do that one day and Snaefellsness Peninsula another day.Puffin trip and some time in Reykjavik too.

Have they been to East Timor before? That is really quite a difficult country to get to and I've never seen  it on even an expedition style cruise itinerary?

Yes. I did the 2018 Maasdam cruise which included E Timor. Did a private tour and found it fascinating. One of our trivia group used to go there for work several times a year and gave us lots of background on history etc.

Saw the historical highlights, beautiful coastlines as yet undeveloped and had a lovely lunch at a restaurant up in the hills.  E.Timor isn't for everyone but we enjoyed seeing it.

  4. Why do you think it might be this itin Pete? It's the one I voted for because I would love to do the Rio to Barcelona segment ( or Buenos Aires to Lis). Fingers crossed!

Did a futuredam deposit back in Dec.

Do to dog, can't do longer than a segment currently, but will be on a 2024 segment.

  5. Yes. I can't make payments, book dining or shore ex etc for 2 weeks now. Just get service error message. Sometimes it lets me get as far as putting something in the cart but when you go to shopping cart it says there is nothing in your cart.  So Frustrating!!

So I call Hal to book and wait on hold forever to get someone whose English comprehension is not always the best. They try to be helpful but they have a script to work thru and anything off script causes problems.

Don't understand why Hal continues to be OK with these system problems.

What is CREW APPRECIATION (US$100 value per person)?  Is this the complimentary gratuities?

My PCC said the $100 is not combinable with

the early booking bonus offer on the 2023 cruises. We got $100 each for the early booking but you get one or the other.

On a new booking for 2023 we did receive full crew incentive. Confusing for all!

I would say book it if you really want to go.  We are in uncharted territory with a much larger ship.  I think HAL realizes this which maybe why they opened the 2924 segments so early.  It does require a larger deposit then a typical cruise, the full cruise requires $7,000, not sure about a segment.

Our deposit for 36 day segment is $1500.

We had a futuredam placeholder on the 23 and 24 WC for over a year(more for 23)

With the 23 close to sold out I cancelled our futuredam and focused on 24. I was very surprised to have our segment request come thru this far out.

Obviously segments are guarantees at this point.

  8. You can pay as often as you would like.  Easy to do online. Go to holland america site, click already booked , either go to account or manage bookings, select booking # and find make a payment and enter info.

I did this for the 1st time this year as I have several booked for the next 2 years and I can use different cc depending on where I want to get points. Plus I don't have to bother PCC

I don't have the numbers so perhaps someone else can chime in.  It is my understanding, however, that Cunard has more segments relative to their itinerary than does HAL.  Is that correct?  How many segments were scheduled, for instance on the HAL 2020 WC?

I believe there were 4 segments on 2020 WC although it might have been 5.

I was scheduled for the Singapore to Sydney after waitlisting. Found out we cleared the list 13 months out. We seemed to be the only ones on cc that got a segment.

Of course we know how our segment ended up! Shortly before we left, Singapore was cancelled then itin changed then the mad scramble for those onboard.

Waitlisted on 23 WC segment but not optimistic this time since waitlist for full cruise is so full they cut it off.
