I purchased transportation from the pier to the airport for my flight home on 1-23-22. When I look at my planner it shows:
Transportation Pier to Long Beach Airport
Port: LOS ANGELES (LONG BEACH), CA
Day: Sunday, January 9, 2022
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
The date 1-9-22 is the day we board the ship. I'm flying in 1-8-22 and will either use a hotel shuttle or Uber to the port on 1-9-22. Shouldn't the booking show the date of 1-23-22 instead of 1-9-22?

I'm looking for a low activity excursion in Hilo for 1-17-22. I do not want to rent a car. Not too much walking or steps (stairs). From what I have found on the Carnival Excursions everything is moderate activity. I don't want to book something and find out that it is too much. I see there is a Hop On/Off bus. Is this literally hop on and off or does it stop and allow you to get on or off. Any suggestions?

Is there a certain amount of time that would be given in advance of a cancellation? I haven’t booked my flight yet and don’t want to book it and lose the money for the flight as I wasn’t planning on buying refundable tickets.

What are the seas like to sail in January? What is temperature?

It is possible to make a 12:00 pm flight out of Long Beach from the Carnival Cruise Terminal?

Thanks for the info.

Do you get any price break on drink packages for 14 days? Does the RU9 discount apply to the longer cruises or just the shorter ones?

My family and I stayed at the Residence Inn when we sailed from Long Beach. We loved the hotel, and at the time, they did not offer transportation to the cruise port. There are many nice places to stay in the area- you might find a hotel that will offer transportation. If not, you can always use a ride service. We used hotel points, but there is a wide range of hotel prices in the area. If the ship excursions are sold out, you can look for Pearl Harbor excursions from the cruise port for options. We usually book our own excursions - the tour operators will get you back to the port in time, or they would not stay in business. To reduce your stress, choose a tour that will get you back well in advance of the ship departure time. Look for reviews of the tour operators to help you make your choice. You can also check the Excursions Desk when you board - there might be openings by the time you sail. Hope you and your brother have an awesome time!!
Is there a particular tour operator that you use?

I have several questions. The longest cruise that I’ve been on is 8 day Caribbean Cruise and all have been out of Florida. I live in Kentucky.
Is it better to fly into LAX or Long Beach? Can anyone recommend a nice hotel to stay the night before?
I am traveling with my brother who has 4th stage cancer. His dream has always been to see Pearl Harbor. The excursions on the ship are sold out. Is this something that we could do ourselves? Do we need to buy tickets in advance? Any tour company recommendations?
What is the weather like on the sea in January? More long sleeve or short sleeve shirts and jacket? Are the activities about the same as any other cruise?
Sorry for all of the questions but due to his condition I want to try to get all my bases covered. He has never cruised before either.

I'm thinking about taking a 14 day cruise from Los Angeles to Hawaii in January 2022. Anyone have experience with cruising in January from LA to Hawaii?
-
I found a 14 day cruise out of Los Angeles 1-9-22 for a 2 guest interior stateroom for $100 per person + taxes, fees & port expenses $387.72 totalling $587.72 on Carnival Miracle. I placed a courtesy hold on the reservation. I keep thinking this is an glitch or something. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is this too good to be true?

If I arrive at the port prior to my assigned boarding time (45 minutes - 1 hour), will I have to wait until that time before I board?

I'll check into that. Thanks

I am looking for suggestions on what to do between the disembarking from the ship until our flight leaves EWR at 9:00 PM for 3 adults. We are arriving in NYC 6-3 (Sunday 9:00am), cruising from Tuesday 6-5 - Wednesday 6-13. Our flight doesn't leave until 9:00 PM. I was thinking of a private tour that could pick us up at the cruise terminal, go sight seeing and then drop us off at the airport. I found a 3 hour ($575) or 5 hour ($925) private tour with Viator tours. Any other suggestions?

I know that if one person in a cabin purchases the Cheers program everyone on the cabin that is over 21 has to purchase it. My question is what if some of the parties want to pre purchase and others want to purchase after they board. Can this be done?

Thank you so much for all of your help.

I would prebook 9/11 museum , need 90 mins to a couple of hours take the tour. also midtown Rockefeller center, we can also recommend some really good restaurants if you like
Does the museum sell out or are there specific times they conduct tours? Yes please recommend some restaurants.
Thanks for all of the responses.

Lots of questions!
1). Can you make do with 2 double beds? NYC is short on 2 Queens, so your hotel choices will be more limited if you need 2 Queens. I would suggest a midtown west hotel for easier and less expensive access to the port as well as the evening ambiance.
2). Times Square is in midtown and the SOL and 911 Museum are downtown. Hotels do not provide transportation to the SOL or 911 Museum. The cheapest and most efficient way to go from midtown to downtown is by subway. Details can be provided once you book a hotel.
3) How are you planning to go to and from Newark Airport? Train? Airport bus? Car Service? We don't recommend cabs for the trip between NY and NJ. Folks do use Uber.
4). Luggage can be stored at Schwartz Travel on W 37th St. This is located 4-5 blocks from both New York Penn Station for NJ Transit to EWR and Port Authority Bus Terminal for the airport bus (https://www.newarkairportexpress.com/)
5). What time do you arrive at EWR on June 3?
Thank you so much for your response.
1) 2 double beds would be fine
3) Probably some type of car service/Uber.
5) We arrive at 9:20 AM.

First time in NYC. We (4 adults) are flying into EWR, Sunday morning June 3 for our Carnival Horizon cruise departing Tuesday June 5. During our stay, we are going to the 9-1-1 Museum, Times Square and the Statue of Liberty for sure. I am looking for suggestions for a hotel (prefer 2 beds no more that $400 per night) in Manhattan. What would you suggest...a hotel with a view of Times Square or Central Park? A hotel that is centered between the museum and Times Square? A hotel near the port? Any other suggestions? As for transportation, which would be easier, Uber, cab, etc. Do the hotels provide transportation to the Statue of Liberty or the museum?
Also, we have several hours before our plane departs (around 9 pm) on June 13. What sight seeing can we do on this day? What do we do with our luggage?
-
Thanks for the info.
We could manage with 1 room. Double beds would work but prefer queen or 2 doubles and a sofa bed. We will have 6 -7 suitcases.

We (4 adults) are cruising on the Carnival Horizon 6-5-18 (Tuesday) - 6-13-18 (Wednesday. We are flying into Newark (EWR) Sunday 6-3-18 arriving at 9:50 AM and departing on Wednesday 6-13-18 at 9:20 PM. Our hotel budget is $250 per night. We've never been to NYC. For sure we are going to the 9/11 Museum. What are your suggestions for transportation to and from airport and hotel? Since we have a lot of time before the flight departs, is there anything we can do with our luggage to do a little sight seeing after the cruise before going to the airport?

With a villa, how many cushioned chaise loungers do you get? Do villas come with a butler? What is your favorite one? When you purchase a villa, do you get priority tendering? Do they provide plates and plastic cups?

If you are traveling from the port to airport do you have to take a Covid test before your board the plane to go home if you are traveling in US?
