  1. Hi all.

As an Australian we are unaware of these constant (?) flight changes in the US. We'll be doing some internal flights in the US next year to make our cruise connection at Fort Lauderdale so can you advise me which airlines to possibly avoid.

I get a bit paranoid about flight changes or late flights so we'll probably fly ion the day before.

    Many thanks for your advice.

They're not constant by any means, but they do happen. Since the "legacy" US airlines (United, American and Delta) schedule flights 11 months in advance, sometimes they change their minds on the schedules closer in. Usually this kind of thing will occur 2-3 months prior to your flight. As mentioned earlier, anything more than a 60 minute change means you can change your flight to something else. So, keep an eye on it, but don't freak out that it's going to change on you multiple times a week or anything like that.

  2. However, the Princess mixologists are very helpful and creative and I'll bet they could whip you up something great with sparkling water, vodka, and whatever flavoring you might like--maybe a little Grenadine and a wedge of lime?

Agreed. I don't see how those pre-packaged products would be all the different from just a vodka/soda/lime or something like that.

  3. Because the charge for extras will show up after the flight, Princess will have no part in it. I expect any baggage and food/drink charges to show BA.

Presuming you are leaving from a city that BA serves, I would expect the same. Working off your location of RI, if you're flying out of Boston, you'll check in with BA, bag charges would be BA, onboard would be BA, etc. OTOH, if you're flying out of Providence, you might be on an AA flight to a BA gateway first (eg Boston/NYC/Philly/DC), in which case bags might be AA, but then onboard on the transatlantic would be BA.

  4. I asked the postal worker how Global Entry works in tandem with our passports and she had no idea what Global Entry is.

Global Entry is run by Customs and Border Patrol, which is part of Homeland Security, not the State department. If you already have GE, you just have to update CBP with the new passport information.

If you don't have GE, you apply for it through CBP. It's totally worth it. $100/5 years and it includes Pre-Check, which would be $85/5 years by itself.
