Well, here you go. Am planning a cruise for my three generation family for next year!!! M a veteran of Royal but did a Carnival and trying to take into consideration the younger set! Even though it took you awhile to complete this review, know that many of us value the information. Thanks.

this sounds wonderful for several single ladies. But ... we are arriving 1:30 Jan 30th. Carnival Victory. Are those bars open later on Sat? Does the excursion run that late in Jan?

I have followed your reviews thru the years. They get better and better. As I have just retired, your choices/excursions seem to meet my needs. Your photos, especially the toes/beach shots are like postcards. Photos and text are very good. thank you!

I was always confused about what the dockyard was. But now with your pic & text and the official info I think I have a better understanding and will put it on my "to see" list. Thanks Merion Mom.

You must like this "Marie" lady. You take a lot of pictures of her!!!
Looks like you are having a fine time. Wish I were there instead of in northern Ohio with the first general snow of the season - black ice on highways and accidents! Looking forward to all the details!

The color in your photos is so vivid!
What is in the building that surrounds the piazza?
Shops? are those tables and chairs for restaurants? Are they expensive because of the location?
Really enjoying your review!

I discovered you with your Europe trip as many others have, and enjoy your writing tremendously.
Wanted to agree with your experience with Caribbean hospitality and their rum!!! Our first cruise we stopped in St Crox and toured the Cruzan Rum Distillery. Now this is a well known brand, but the rum vats were outdoor uncovered!?!? and very smelly. But in the shop at the end of the tour they mixed several different rum drinks. When everyone had one, they offered those remaining. And since time was tight, they told us we could drink them on the shuttle. Forcing us to imbibe!
Also, thanks for a few tips on Ft Myers as I will be down there soon. Have done most of the attractions, but did want some help with restaurants. For places to stay, you said "by the pier", is that just at the end of the bridge?
Am not familiar with Randy Wayne White. Are they mysteries? His sales probably just jumped from your endosement.
I will jump cruise lines to read your next crusie review. Take care.

Am really enjoying your review ahecht. You notice and write about things that most people don't see or don't write about. Different and very interesting. and just as a side note... I work in Sandusky, OH, just a short swim to Cedar Point!!! For those who don't know, Cedar Point is a roller coaster haven.
Hope the disappointing food doesn't put you off Royal for good.

Sailor Jack, I thought you said you and Sailor Jill prefer warm weather vacations? Or was the Antarctica reference a joke?
Love your reviews. But you are all over the place in cruise lines. I have been trying to stay with Royal. How do you decide where and with what cruise line?

Your reviews are exceptional. Am now psyched for a Med cruise. Have done two Voyager class which I think are similar to Freedom because they have the Promenade. Loved it for coffee first thing in the am. - would run down before doing the hair etc. Knew you would like it compared to Serenade. I had other issues with Serenade. People walked right thru the middle of the Schooner bar while it had a much more private feel in the bigger ships and the chairs were more comfortable. And the orange juice (in mixed drinks at all the free events,,, welcome back party etc.) was worse than water. Views of the water were great but we always get a balcony. I commented on the Med review that I saw the David statue in Vegas and no one picked up on the statue in the halls of the forum shoppes of Caesar's Palace. lol...Anyhow I don't have the new Janet Evanovich so I will go back to Fifty Shades! Thank you Sherri!

did you notice the real bird on the tree stump that is part of the statue of the outside David? Taking pictures of birds is a family thing..see?
That David really gets around... I saw him in Vegas!
Really enjoying your review.
