  1. We only do early dining now. On our first cruise we thought it would be a good idea to eat late to give us time to get back from excursions and afternoon activities. However, we realized that by the time we got done with dinner (9:30 - 10:00), we were so full and tired that we didn't really get to enjoy the night life like we wanted to. Just my opinion. Have fun!!

  2. We love the Pride! That class of ship has a great, easy to navigate layout. The serenity area is great, but get there early on sea days. We get the drink package and we enjoy all the bars. Favorites are the piano bar, alchemy bar and the atrium bar. We thought the food was really good on the Pride and ate in the MDR for all dinners. When selecting a cabin, I like to make sure there are cabins above and below mine. You definitely don't want any bars or dining rooms above or below.  We stayed in 7193 and have booked it again for our June cruise coming up. The comedy club is great depending on what comedians you have. We were in the piano bar every night and usually closed them down. With the right piano bar entertainer, it's the best place on the ship. The 24 hr pizza and soft serve ice cream are fantastic. They were late night snacks for us. If you ahve any questions ask away! Good luck and enjoy!!

  3. Not rude at all. Expressed an opinion, much like you did with your post.

And my post was informative as I linked back to the thread on this same subject that was created yesterday.

Informative? Really? If I may express my opinion, you posted the link to the earlier thread more to throw it in their face than provide them the information found in it. I don't post a lot, but I read a lot and if I see a thread on a subject I've already read or don't need information on, I don't open it. I definitely don't open it to flame the original poster. You can't scroll down 10 threads without seeing the same topics. Do you express your opinion on all those duplicates daily? You go on to post " But, hey, it's fun reading the same thing over and over again ", don't open the threads and you won't. All I'm saying is, you don't need to flame people. You could have pointed them to the other thread with out the sarcastic "so forgive me if I don't buy the "I've done searching on the topic" comment. Just my opinion!

  4. I also recommend anything from the Alchemy Bar!! Just belly up and tell them what flavors you're craving and they will make you something tasty. I'm a beer drinker, but I will have a couple fruity drinks through out the day and my go to is old faithful " Sex on the beach"! Love it! Have fun. Dilly Dilly!

  5. We stayed at the Best western in Elkridge and it worked out great! The hotel was clean and the complementary breakfast wasn't bad at all. There's a pub right there in the parking lot. We had dinner and a few drinks and the food was not bad. The shuttle will drop you off and pick you up from the terminal. Parking is included in the price which was about $130.00 or so.

  6. We were on Pride a couple weeks ago and the acoustic guitar/singers were Emily Jane and Jimmy D. We didn't see Jimmy much, but Emily was in the Atrium and Serenity. The best time was in the piano bar with Scott on the last night. I had requested Tenacious "D" and he chuckled and said he and some other entertainers were talking about a Tenacious "D" sing along at lunch earlier that day and that hey were going to meet at the piano bar that night. They all came in around 11:30 and we had a blast singing a couple songs. Emily and Scott also played a duet of a Pink song my wife and I requested. It was a great time and we had a blast the entire cruise. Have fun!!!!

  7. Now I have to tell you about this driver. I don't think I have ever rode in a shuttle for any hotel, or any taxi, or even the nascar wanna-be's in Cozumel that scared me as much as this driver did. He was crazy I'm telling ya. Slamming on breaks at the last minute, cutting over in lanes with no warning (for us or the driver next to him in the lane he was trying to get over in), almost missing an exit, and that last ride was a doosey! He slammed on the breaks so fast that I think it even scared him thinking he wasn't going to stop in time. I'm throwing up my hands across the kids and praying that not only he doesn't hit the car in front of us but that the unexpected driver behind us doesn't slam into us. Yes, tires squealing and the whole 9 yards as the saying goes. Yes, it was his fault...it's not like the traffic came to a dead stop. It was all him not paying attention. Anyone staying at this place, fear for your life if you driver is Nahmed! Just saying... Nice man, just scary.

Too funny!! We stayed there a couple weeks ago (after reading your review), and he was our driver as well. We pulled out of the hotel onto a 40 MPH road and he quickly got up past 70 MPH!!! That's when the seat belts went on. But, as you said he was a nice man, and he got us there quickly! :D

  8. We were on Pride with him a couple weeks ago, and we are by no means cruising experts, but we thought he was pretty good. We attended a couple name that song events at the atrium bar and he was very energetic, funny and had great crowd interaction. As someone posted earlier, he is a little goofy, but we liked him. Our cruise was his first on pride as CD. Have fun!!!

His catch phrase is "May the Schwartz be with you!"
