There is absolutely no need for a banner for a single ship and itinerary. If you ever have been involved in a change, NCL is very very good with notifying you of changes via email, text and robo calls. If you choose to put fake email addresses and fake phone numbers in your profile, too bad. And the people who need to know have been notified.
Hello Im here in Waikiki been here since Tuesday when the fires started found out on Wednesday morning waited all day nothing. By the way my cruise is this Saturday. You say a single cruise is not important enough to put a banner on the NCL site or send an email to notify passengers of a possible cancellation or itinerary change and wait for further details. If you were here wouldn't you like to know. Its horrible what happened my heart goes out to all the victims and pray they can get their lives back. I feel sad I wont go to Maui but this is nothing to what happened.

We’re on the Crown Princess visiting Honolulu on January 13, 2023. Hubby really wants to visit the Polynesian center (PCC)—he used to go as a kid with his family. We’ve reserved a car and are planning on driving to/from the PCC. Our ship leaves at 11 pm that night (all onboard will probably be around 10:30 pm).
After reading posts on this board, I’m a little concerned about getting back to the ship on time. PCC told me that their HA: Breath of Life show ends at 9 pm. If we have a rental car, will have to return it prior to heading to the port. If we purchase transportation from PCC, we have to make our way back to the ship from the drop off point (Aloha Towers??). I really don’t want to take the cruise line’s tour but it may be our only option to make it back on time. We also want to upgrade to the Super Ambassador package but can’t do that on the Princess tour.
Another option is to still drive, visit the center and then just head back to Honolulu, missing the show and dinner. We’d then look into having drinks/appetizers at The House without a Key.
I know that we should just bite the bullet and book with Princess but am interested to hear from folks. Is going to HA: Breath of Life worthwhile? Hubby doesn’t care so much about the show—he just wants to spend time in the villages.
Thanks!
If you book directly PCC there is a discount if booking 10 days in advance you get a 10% discount. They also have transportation for an extra fee I believe $25 per person. This is booking directly from their sight. If the cruise ship is offering this excursion perhaps you should get it from them if your worried about getting back to the ship as you probably know, the cruise ship will wait for the tour to come back before they leave.

We are having the same problem, cannot download our documents and it will not accept our photo's either. We are leaving August 18, on the Pearl out of Boston.
Try refreshing the page. The photo wasn't working for me either, I had to crop the photo a little that helped and submitted it and that worked.

I got a good rate on the cruise for 14 days. Later the free drinks wifi and obc credit started 2 weeks after we booked. I thought about upgrading the booking but when I did the math on it we would be paying $960 more for our cruise and I thought will we be drinking $960 on anything since we are not big drinkers and we already have a obc on our booking. I decided to pass. There is going to be at least 7 days when we will be in port and not going to be able to use the drink package for the time we are off the ship.

I’ve been amazed at the ‘success’ of sailings from the Gulf ports; Galveston, New Orleans, Mobile. NCL, Carnival, RCCL, and even Disney have stayed in that market, even though the Gulf of Mexico itineraries are bleh. I heard a comment from a DCL employee that it does relate to the high percentage of ‘drivers’ in that region to keep the smaller and older ships sailing there.
Your right the Mex Riviera can be blah if you been there a zillion times but I love the ocean just being on the ship is vacation enough for me and not having to get on a plane to fly to the east coast to cruise MSC would be something to look forward to.

I hear if you go off ship for a few hours to Miami and later go back, because you are a B2B passenger you go through priority embarkation.
-
Same situation I tried to call MSC for help got another number to call no answer. I had to sign up again using a different email and add the reservation number to the new email. That was the only way it worked.

We just debarked on Sunday.
On embark, the buffet is open and a total madhouse!
Hola! is open on embark day (12-3 and 6-10), and has food à la carte.
The sports bar is also open on embark day (I think at 3pm) and has food.
Best bet is to eat something small before you get on because there is a lot happening.
Is there an upcharge for the food at the sports bar and at Hola?

Hello I have been looking to see if MSC has plans to come to the west coast I guess you found some info. I live in Los Angeles area but I don't really care which port they cruise out of I would love it if they came to SoCal. San Diego is a beautiful port so many nice things to do. Great hotel’s and restaurants and its only 2 hours away from where I live in LA. The only thing is the parking. If you drive in the cruise has very little parking to leave you car that I see in the cruise port. Other than that hotel parking maybe available. Thats the advantage that La harbor and Long Beach harbor have over San Diego cruise port. Also they can add itineraries to Hawaii and Pacific coast to Panama I like to many of the other cruise lines have.

Going on a B2B on the Seascape in Sept. Has anyone tried to board with water and or soda? I read somewhere someone was let on with 2 12pks of soda. I know in the cruise contract it says no drinks of any kind allowed soda water booze ect. Is it really enforced.

Hi going in my first cruise on MSC on the Seascape. I was surprised and was considering canceling because I could not bring bottled water on board. I read if you have a medical reason you would have to submit a form. I don't usually bring my own water I usually purchase it from the cruise ship before boarding but I cannot find where to purchase it on the website. I know people bring empty bottles and fill them up. Im going on a 14day cruise and I don't want to run out of drinking water in my cabin and have to run out and get more in the middle if the night. Also I hear the tap water is safe to drink but I don't even drink tap water from my own water faucet . Has anyone used a medical form so you could bring your own water?

The last time we were on the Ruby (many years ago) they did have an HDMI input that could be switched over for inputting your own movies or photo's. I don't think they've changed over to the new system yet with on demand programs but if they did you'll have to unplug their input and use their HDMI input feed the TV. You can't switch inputs.

If you specify which ship you may get a reply from someone who was successful in both accessing the inputs and selecting the correct one to view.
Royal, Regal, Majestic have flat screen TVs mounted flush to the wall.
Some other ships have smaller flat screens but on a shelf above the fridge/minibar area.
And there are still a few with ancient CRT sets that definitely won't have an HDMI input.
Whichever ship you are on if you are determined to try you might want to pack a universal remote with you, especially if on one of the ships with On Demand programming as the supplied remote will have no functions other than finding what show you want to watch.
Its on the Ruby Princess

There might be , the TV remote is generic and doesn't have any way to contro; inputs.
Thank you for you reply

I booked a Mex Riv cruise in Nov 2016 with $150 room credit and gratuity included. I can see the cabin credit in my booking but not the paid gratuity amount. In fact there is a space to pre-pay gratuities in the cruise manager.

I used to bring my own water on board ship but since Carnival brought down the price of the bottled water its easier to buy their water instead. I suggest looking into it when I last cruised it was less than $5 for 6 bottles I may be mistaken by the quantity but its more convent to buy the cruise lines water or bring a refillable bottles. I heard the ships water is good to drink but I preferred bottled.

For everyone paying $1 USD thats way too much to tip for the restroom and toilet paper. Try to get Mexican pesos or Mexican coins from the bank for example or try to get them to pay you some of the money back in pesos when you purchase something. I believe 19.4 peso per 1USD. A couple of pesos should be way more than enough to use the restroom and pay for TP. They are ripping you off when the daily wage on average 5-10 dollars a day.

The only thing Im worried is the people coming up to selling their souvenirs when your trying to relax at any beach restaurant or walking. In Mazatlan they are relentless but not as bad as Jamaica. I remember seeing the Mexican military policing the tourist areas riding in open jeeps holding machine guns. Mazatlan is my least favorite port I wouldn’t mind skipping it.

Fires on Maui any POA reports?
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted · Edited by Jess777
Yes they did later Thursday afternoon. I called 9am that morning to see if the cruise was canceled or of an itinerary change and they told me as far as they knew it was still going out on the 12th no itinerary change. I kind of know we were not going to Maui because of how there was no phone or electrical service in many parts of Maui. Also the lieutenant governor said they are trying to evacuate all the tourists to focus the relief efforts on the residents of Maui.
