Anyone know why the Joy left Puerto Vallarta today(Jan 21) around 5pm, but then came back at 6pm?

I'm on HAL Oosterdam, also docked in PV

Our upcoming cruise will be our 8th, but our first on HAL.  I've been reading a LOT of posts here to get prepared, as I do before every cruise.  I am trying to sort out what we should purchase pre-cruise vs. what we should purchase onboard.  Tell me if this plan is the best:

Unlimited laundry package - purchase onboard

Internet Surf package - purchase onboard

Specialty dining (1-2 nights) - purchase onboard

Thermal Suite - purchase pre-cruise

Shore excursions - purchase pre-cruise (we usually do a mix of ship-sponsored excursions, private tours, and setting out on our own)

This is for an 18-day Panama Canal cruise in January on the Oosterdam.  So excited!

Your thoughts?

If I want to be able to upload my photos from my phone to iCloud, will the “middle” package work for me, or do I need the premium?

Is there a thermal suite on Oosterdam? Is it good? How can I find out the cost? We are considering this ship for an 18-day Panama Canal cruise in January.

We are getting ready to book on the Oosterdam.  What cabin numbers have this "bump-out?"

We will be on the Dawn. We received a 4-meal SDP plan as one of our free offers. Now we aren't sure how to use it.:D

Anyone know which specialty restaurants are open for lunch on the Dawn?

We really don't like eating heavy meals at night. Can the SDP be used for lunch? Are all of the specialty restaurants open for lunch?

I am booked st Hyatt House too (direct since last Feb) for our Jan cruise. Haven’t been able to reach local hotel - just 1-800 who as you say aren’t helpful. I had a rate of $152/night and I cannot find anything at another decent hotel for anything close to that rate.

Hyatt House San Juan canceled our January 6th reservation a few weeks ago. We booked through Hotels.com and that is where the cancellation email came from. This was after I made several phone calls earlier in November to confirm our reservation.

We had a reservation with Hyatt House for January 6th, reserved through Hotels.com. Early in November I talked to Hyatt corporate and also Hotels.com and was assured the reservation was still good. Then I got an email about two weeks ago that everything was canceled. Sigh.

Wondering if anyone knows about the St. Kitts Food Tours Full Island Panoramic Tour. Is it a good choice for our stop in St. Kitts?

Scenic Tours Antigua does an island tour the includes Shirley Heights and Nelsons cost is $33---we have done this twice

How much time do you get to spend at Nelsons with this tour? Did you feel rushed there?

We are on NCL Dawn, stopping at St. Thomas on January 8th.

How can I find out which dock my ship will be using when we are in St. thomas? We want to rent a car and we need to know where we will be! Thanks!

I have a reservation for December 11. I called the Hyatt number today, October 10, and was informed that the Hyatt House intends to reopen on December 1.

I called on the morning of the 10th as well. I talked to someone at the Hyatt call center. She also told me that Hyatt House will reopen on December 1st. Hope so!!

I just called Hyatt House and they are not taking reservations until 2018 and they cancelled my reservation for Dec. 27th 2017.

Which Hyatt House? I called the 800 number on the Hyatt House website yesterday morning. It was answered by the Hyatt call center. She said Hyatt House will be opening December 1st. We have a January 6, 2018 reservation there, and she said it should be fine.

Now I'm worried again.

When the Carnival Glory arrives back in NY on October 5, how long can we stay on the ship?

Has anyone done anything with Onca Explorations in Mazatlan? Their whale quest intrigues us, but I can't find anything here on the CC boards about the company.
