I take a taxi to Reflextions beach bar, It is near the airport away from the tourist crowds. Its a cove that is easy to to walk in and out of the water.  They have great food, drinks and service.  The server called a taxi to take us back to the ship..

Any recommendations for hotels in FLL post cruise with early arrival and late check out?

I'm staying in Aruba now, and my favorite beach is Eagle Beach. You don't need to spend money for a resort. The beaches here are public and you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

Where would be the best drop off place to enter the beach and rent chairs

You could rent a hotel room for the day at dayuse.com.

Try Dayuse.com they have a number of hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area.

We also did the Carnival excursion river Wallace and Altun Ha ruins and it was great, did this one twice. On the river part saw manatee, crocodiles, monkeys etc . On the bus part we had two armed guards with us, so don't venture outside the port on your own.

I also have done the Tabyana beach break a number of times and it is great, its the beach next to the Infinity condos. We have lunch and drinks at there outdoor restaurant.

We are sailing Feb 3. We just got our passport renewal request in the mail yesterday. Please tell me we will have enough time to get them back. We have never used birth certificates before, I'm guessing it's no big deal, right?

My son just renewed his and got it back in less than two weeks.

Any suggestions on hotels for day use or resort for a day? We have a flight from FLL leaving at 6:30pm on a Sunday and not sure what to do for the day, do not want to rent a car. Thanks

We also used SAS shuttles, great service all the times we have used them.

I think we are going to do Belize for the ruins and do Altun Ha. It seems to be the "easiest" and less bus ride for the kids. It also seems to fit the entire group's wants. SAltun Ha tour,ince we are in port for such a short amount of time in Costa Maya, we will just toodle around the port that day and swim, shop and eat. :)

I did the Carnival excursion in Belize called Altun Ha tour and river wallace, I have been on 13 cruises and and this one was the best! Booked it again for my nexted cruise.

If I have travelled with Princess Cruises before (owned by Carnival) do I qualify for Past Guest Price Discounts on a future Carnival cruise? I can't seem to find this answer anywhere on Carnival's website and there is a significant discount on a cruise I'm looking at.

I traveled on Princess first before trying Carnival and yes i called and I got my past passenger discount on carnival. Hope you get it also.

We always put the box in the checked bag also and have never had a problem.

Britta water pitcher, or individual water bottles. If water safety/taste are desired, it saves packing a case of bottled water!

I bring a pack of baby wipes for my beach bag.
