On May 18, I had a conversation with a veryreliable source and good friend who works on the expedition side of Silversea He told me that the only thing that is certain regarding theexpedition fleet is that the SilverDiscoverer will leave the Expedition Fleet in July of 2019. The WIND is being considered for conversionto expedition. A new build expeditionship is also under consideration. He emphasizedthat IF one or both of thesepossibilities comes about, it will not be before the end of 2020 and will NOTaffect currently scheduled itineraries on the Wind.

We are on the Muse in Bilbao at this time and were told by a staff member on the last segment that the Spirit will be enlarged by splicing in a new section. This is the second time we've heard this in the past six months. This may be an old rumor but I thought I'd let the board know.

In 2013, we were on the Explorer from CPT to Dakar. This particular excursion was called "Dinner in the Dunes" at that time. Upon arrival at twilight, we were escorted through a path with lighted torches to the dining area where a huge camp fire burned illuminating the dining area. As the moon rose over the dunes, a buffet dinner was served on white table cloths SilverSea style. There was also a local band and much dancing. It was a wonderful evening. I've also seen a DVD of a similar event which was held under a circus tent in the dunes.

We highly recommend the flight seeing and crab fest out of Ketchikan.

We've done it 3 times and especially loved the fresh crab all you can eat feast.

There are several tour companies who fly to the George Inlet Lodge.

Great flight seeing also.
