Thanks for another entertaining and informative trip review! I always get giddy when I see a Willdra review gracing page one  of the Carnival Cruise Critic page! It’s always a good day!

Quick Question - have you and W ever done Alaska on Carnival? I just booked our first Alaska cruise on the Spirit for next August and would love to read your take on it if it’s happened! If it has, can you post a link to that review? Alaska is very out of my wheelhouse so I feel like a cruise newbie!

Thanks and can’t wait to read about your next adventure!

Alaska has been on our bucket list for so long, it’s rusty and full of holes. Hopefully we will get it together soon. If we wait too long, that trip will be sponsored by Bengay, Aspercreme, and compression wraps! 😭 W’s not getting any younger.

Before I went to bed I said a prayer to please let Willdra and W be on the 8/31 cruise to Bermuda because that would be so awesome! 😃🙏

And before I went to sleep last night, I prayed the same prayer.  We are on the same page!!👍

LOL y’all have me laughing at my desk like a deranged Easter Bunny! 🤣😂

God didn’t say “no” to August, he’s gonna get back to us on that one, but he did say “yeah” to May 6. 😉

I’m glad you found it helpful!

If you’re planning for NYC you may also want to check out the planning post on my transatlantic. On the back end of that one I stayed in the Financial District, did the Statue of Liberty, Mets/Yankees game, Hamilton, Roosevelt Island Tram, Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, and I flew out of Newark that time.

Yes we are planning on leaving from NYC on the Venezia. I will absolutely sail back over to your other review after this one. I’m trying to get as much NYC info as possible, and it looks like you’ve done ALL of the work for me! I am in complete awe of your planning skills! 😍😍😍😍😍

    Booking

I booked this cruise during a Carnival sale back in April. I’ve been watching New York cruises ever since they announced Magic was going there. I was able to get this cruise for less than half of what I normally see it priced at. I haven’t been on a five day cruise since 2017 but this is my second cheapest five day cruise I’ve booked out of the six I have taken.

Getting that price out of New York on a cruise that included labor day weekend was big. The three day weekend allows me to spend four days in New York and go on a five day cruise while only taking one week off of work.

Saving on the cruise helps because I’m going to spend a lot of money in New York.

This one post has helped me with planning and checking off 63 items from my “get er done” list! I can’t wait to read the rest. Thanks so much for sharing the deets with us. I feel like I’ve unlocked a secret 🤫 cruise planning cheat code!🛳️ 😆😍🥰🛳️

I just found you, and I LOVE you!  I've read 3 of your reviews, and I'm addicted!  My library book is just sitting over there on the end table for now!  Thank you for taking the time to do these reviews!  I used to live in metro Atlanta, and I still fly up to visit my family!  If I see you & W one day in the airport or on a cruise ship, I'll be Starstruck!!

LOL so glad you found us😆! Please do say “hey y’all!” if you see us out and about!

The “marshmallow theory” answered a thirty-year quest to find a compelling explanation for why some people succeed and others fail. Posada was convinced that the key difference between success and failure is not merely hard work or superior intelligence but the ability to delay gratification.

This theory was used on children, delayed gratification while the marshmallows were right in front of them.

This is very interesting, and I’m sure it can be applied to many different scenarios! Thanks for the Ted Talk! 😉

I did this excursion with NCL and we did it in the correct order. We loved the Dona winery it was beautiful and there was live music but the wine was not great. But I was with my family and we just laughed and enjoyed the day. We loved LA Cetto and I wish I would have bought more of their temporillo (sp) red wine.

thanks for this and all of your amazing hilarious and informative trip reports. I actually got a little excited to see that you were in So Cal I guess I’ve become a bit of a fan girl.

    LOL thank you!!! ☺️

Thank you Wildra for another fun and informative review!

I am sending up a prayer for continued blessings for you, W and all your family.

    Take care

    MJ🙋🏻‍♀️

Thank you so much! One of the reasons that it took so long for me to post the review (other than my obvious laziness and procrastination) was that W’s mom was in the hospital. So we really do appreciate all of the prayers!! ♥️♥️♥️😇🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thanks for the great review, I loved every minute of it! Especially because for this one I was literally along for the ride. I don’t think we ran into each other except I think I was watching the Rock & Glow party from the 11th deck port side not far from you. If I would have known you were on the ship I had recognized your gorgeous hair and introduced myself. My hubby’s number was picked for Deal Or No Deal and our friend’s number was called for the second game which was crazy!  Neither did very well but it sure was fun! I see you have an upcoming cruise in May, us too, the Celebration. I hope we cruise together again!

Ahh 😱 I wish we could’ve met! It was a fun cruise, but also a short one with that last frozen tundra sea day❄️❄️❄️. Hopefully our paths will cross again soon! 😍😍😍

Thank you for another great review! I love your writing style & it keeps me laughing! I live in SC & the Mexican Riveria cruise is on my list of future cruises I want to do.

Thank you and yes I highly recommend cruising to that corner of the world. It’s a different vibe, and in my opinion that keeps it fun and interesting. 😉
