I was in St. Maarten in august, stayed at the Holland House for two days prior to boarding the Summit. The beach in front of Holland House is excellent, beautiful clear water, ...you can rent chairs and umbrellas, there is food and beverage service. The water taxi was not running in August, not sure if its running now.

Great Info. was just looking at that hotel. Thanks Enjoy!
Hi...we're looking at that hotel too for a one night pre cruise in February. How close is it to the beach? Or is it closer to the middle of Los Olas? Thanks....

Thank you!

Paul: Great review! On one of your previous cruises did you go to an all inclusive resort for the day? If so, was it St. Kitts? I seem to remember reading about it, but cannot locate that review. Many thanks, and Happy New Year!

Hi, going to Puerto Rico in February on the Equinox. Does anyone know if Pamelas Restaurant is open? How about the beach right in front of the restaurant? Did they reopen after the hurricaine? Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I just found this thread. A few years ago we did the golf tour with Angel Tours and it was excellent. I would absolutely recommend it. Lots of places we never wold have seen otherwise.

We took the train last week, from our hotel in Anchorage. We had to be there at 6 and train departed at 7; we took the first class option which was pricey but definitely worth it. Got to Seward around 11. Took a local shuttle around town and boarded the ship at 3, although you could board at 1 if you wanted to. Would definitely do it again!

My pick would be the Silhoutte. I've been on both, love them both, but really like the S class ships. More options, not too big. Just got off in February and we had a great time.

We're using ISP whale watching tours. Very nice to deal with. I don;t know if they have a minimum, we're a party of 6. Going in July. Colleen has been our contact person.

My first two cruises were on RCCL Sun Viking in 1986 and 1987, no TV. But who needed a tv!! Also, no casino, just a few slot machines.

Thank you!

MYPYR: In St. Thomas we went to Emerald Beach, out by the airport. Chairs for rent...a nice restaurant where we had lunch and drinks. In St. Kitts we went to Cocksalle (sp?) beach...about a 25 minute ride...Chairs and umbrellas for rent and a beach bar where we got buckets of beers, very reasonable. In Barbados we went to Accra beach....chairs and umbrellas for rent, had lunch here, very good. First day in St Maarten went to Maho Beach to see the planes, very crowded and a 90 minute ride back to the ship. Second day we went to beach right by the ship...rented chairs and umbrellas at the Holland House...had lunch there, very good.

Anne we were also on the same cruise..we were a group of 10. We had a great time, loved the ship, our second time on her having done the western caribbean last year. This itinerary is sooo much better. We also noticed the lack of bar waiters especially before noon at the pool deck. But come 12:00 we had great service, especially Albert and Norman. We enjoyed all the shows, especially the Liars Club and Dancing with the Stripes. The night we overnighted in St. Maarten we went up to the Lawn Club where they had Music and drinks..really enjoyable. We didn't do any tours, went to the beach in each port. Would definitely do this cruise again.
I made a video on how to get to Eagle Beach!
