  1. Has anyone tried with success to link a shore excursion with a fellow passenger? I go through all the prompts, and it keeps telling me "guest selection error". I have checked all 4 of our names and it keeps saying this. I just want to make sure we are in the same group. Anyone have a tip or do I have to call them?

     

    We leave in 2 days for greece and in about 8 days until our cruise on Pursuit!

    Im an Azamara newbie and cant wait. Its going to be great! :)

  2. Bev0426? Just wanted to suggest that DH wear some convertible pants. Shorts until you need the legs covered then you can zip the pants part on. My husband did this when we went to Rome and visited the churches. I think he got his at Bass Pro or on Amazon. They are light and comfortable with loads of pockets. Have fun on your cruise.

    Meanwhile, some other things we noticed:

     

     

    There was a strong smell of paint when we left this morning, clearly some maintenance was taking place or maybe there were some spots missed/in need of redecoration.

     

    The speed button menu on our room phone has appeared - apparently the phones had been preprogrammed, but the menu paper thingie wasn't ready yet. Luckily we knew the number of our butler so we were never in need of the other numbers, but it is useful to have.

     

    Laundry, our laundry arrived back today, all neatly pressed and on hangers (those metal ones that dry cleaners ues). Smaller items were bundled together and wrapped in tissue paper.

     

    Usually there is a twice daily room service, during the day and early evening. With the turn down service at early evening baffels me a bit that they close the curtains already - as with the long evenings you want to keep them open as long as possible - but I guess it is part of their routine. Also they will bring inside the loose cushion from the swivel balcony chair (the table chair cushions are attached to the chair).

     

    If you order any room service, this will get cleared afterwards, either you give a call to room service for the trays to be collected, or your butler/room attendant will come and ask to collect it.

     

    And of course you can always ask for extra room service, towels etc if needed. (We usually reuse our towels a few times - we hang them up and I do like it that they respect that and won't give you new towels unless you specify it (by putting the towels in the bath/on floor). We have stayed at hotels where they say they are environmental friendly and ask you to do your bit towel wise, but where they still took the towels anyway, which I find really annoying)

     

     

    Bottles of water are always available at disembarkation area.

     

     

    On more mainstream cruise lines, we tip room service upon delivery...is this expected on Azamara?

  4. I am very confused. I will take my first Azamara cruise on the Pursuit On sept. 22, 2018. I do not understand this thread. I knew that certain liquor was included, and certain ones were not, so are you saying there is also a list of "no charge" cocktails? For instance, I cant get a cosmo made with "no charge" liquor? There will have to be a charge? And if this is the case, where do I find the list of "free" cocktails?

  5. yes, please give me the email if possible. I booked through carnvial and was never told nor read anything about it. Seems like they would have given me the option to decline when i booked in OCTOBER! Just called and she was very nice, but said, yeah...just check back several times a day. :( Boooooo....

    So if you can find the email address I may email and beg. :)

    You stated ' I will add that I had got added to faster to fun a few days before."...how were you able to do that? Is there a wait list? I didnt even know about it and tried a few weeks ago and it was "sold out"...I wonder if calling them would help? Husband HATES lines and crowds so thought this might get him off to a good start.... ;)

  7. just booked a reservation for Carnival Valor 3/12/16...how long until I get a confirmation? Hours, days? Is it wise to go ahead and make a couple of other reservations for the week if we THINK we may want to go again? We can always cancel, right?

    Thanks...never tried the specialty dining before but read such great things about this "steakhouse" I think we should give it a go! :)
