Thanks for the replies! We were only considering it because we have a land based vacation planned there for August and we’re mainly going to enjoy a couple of rides and the Flower and Garden Festival.

We are sailing on the Oasis in May. One of the stops is PC. Our times there are 1pm-9pm. We want to set up the shore excursion to go to Epcot for the day. I know it’s roughly 1.5 hours each way. Not sure what time exactly RC does pick up and drop off. Any idea how many hours we will probably get in the park? Anyone done this before?

We are cruising on the Norwegian Joy in June 2023. My daughter is begging to swim with the dolphins! We have a few questions since we haven’t cruised since 2015 and so much has changed!
The two experiences offered say that the minimum age is 6. We are going to be in Bermuda on June 8th, and she turns 6 on June 13th. Will they make a big deal over the five days?
Also, there’s two different ones offered and we don’t understand the major price difference.
One is called Bermuda Dolphin Experience. It’s $299 each adult and shows that children are free. Same description except you’re in the water for 30 mins. The second one is called Dolphin Encounter. It’s $349 each adult and children are $299. Same description except it’s 45 mins in the water. This is a huge jump and it seems like the only difference is 15 minutes. Am I missing something that makes these two so different? -
I will be sailing on the Liberty of the Seas in August and was wondering if anyone has any recent information on their wifi. I paid $120 on my recent Quantum cruise for unlimited wifi on my phone. Is there a similar option for the Liberty or was that exclusive to the Quantum? I want to be able to keep my phone on wifi and use an international messaging app. Thanks!

I've been to numerous Pandora stores and jewelry stores, and there is no Pandora cruise ship charm. Are you sure the charm is made by Pandora? I'd love to get one to add to my bracelet!

Love this! The is very similar to what I am planning on doing. Do you know the name of the polish?
I have the same exact color on my toes right now. It's called "Turquoise and Caicos".

What beautiful pictures! It makes me even more excited to be sailing on her in August!

I love reading your "LIVE" threads, Radio, even if it's not a ship I am booked on. I love pictures of the early morning, when no one else is around. It's one of my favorite times on the ship! When you get back, I'd be curious to know if you liked the Allure better than the Oasis.

I just bought two "vapor bottles" for our cruise. They fold up for easy storage and you can fill them up at the buffet and clip them onto your backpack or purse for your excursions. Super neat! I got mine on Ebay for cheap, but here is their website:
Thanks for posting this! After reading your post, I purchased two of them. My husband and I never have water with us in the ports and this will be perfect for that! :D

Packing List I found on line
You wouldn't need half the stuff on that list. It's a little too thorough for me. Why does someone need a Magic Bullet on a cruise?

A picture of my dog that the artist onboard the Explorer drew for us. It means even more as she passed away about a week and a half ago.
We also love a picture made with spray paint that we watched being made on the streets of Puerto Rico. It's framed and in my dining room.

Wow, what an impressive collection!
We get one for each of the cruises we've been on together. I do not have the Grand Princess because I was not on it with my husband, but the rest of the ones you see in my signature, I bought a ship model of.

I told you so! Although we all know - size doesn't matter.. My Carnival Libery can tower over Caribbean Princess all she wants, my heart is with CB. :D
Haha, I said the same thing about my Carnival Miracle/Caribbean Princess models! :D
-
Just came back from our Caribbean Princess cruise. I can't believe how tiny the ship model is. My Carnival Miracle one is towering over it. The layout on the Lido deck doesn't even look right...but oh well, I wanted a model for each ship.

Mine is the replicas of the ships that I have been on. I absolutely love those and always think of my cruise when I look at them.

I finally decided to pull the plug and get my husband and I our passports. I applied at the post office on February 6th, and they arrived in the mail on February 20th. Never in a million years did I think they would come that fast, and we didn't even pay for expedited service.

I hope no one kills me for reviving such an old thread but I just feel like sharing.
Yesterday I was randomly browsing the stores and discovered the perfect, in my opinion, cruise journal.
Its a Korean design by Jetoy.
here's a product page with pictures of the inside. Its all in Korean but there's many pictures.
I like that one. What does the front say? "Take a Little Trip"?
I don't have a Barnes and Noble around me, and I've never even thought to check the journal section. I have a Travel journal, but that's for all our trips...not just cruising. I would love to pick up one just for cruising, because there wasn't enough room to write everything I wanted to last time.
Anyone else have pics of their journals?

I have purchased 4 models from Alexander Scherbak
scherbakshipmodels.tripod.com
(Carnival Sensation, Carnival Glory, Carnival Liberty, and Celebration). I have been been very satisfied with the detail and quality.
His models are mostly in the 1:900 SCALE and are architecturally correct. They are full hull models mounted in a nice display case with a nameplate showing the specifics of each ship. Although they are more expensive than what you buy on the ship, they are much more accurate and of higher quality. They are produced in limited quantities, and will increase in value as time goes on.
While I would love to have those, I'll stick with the $10-$20 models and put my $$ towards more cruises! :D

Sign above the toilet on HAL's Westerdam....."Oh great, now what will I do with my empty bottles?"
:D I wonder why you can't flush the toilet while seated? I did.
-
Here is a picture of two models together:
1) Carnival Liberty in the background (Liberty is a bit bigger than Miracle, although not sure about model)
2) Side a side
Wow, I don't think my Carnival one is that big. My Carnival one looks more along the same size as the Caribbean Princess, which is good, because then it might match better!
P.S.- that's a nice collection you have there! :D

Must be "Rainbow Day" on the thread....?
Radiance (well named in this case!) of the Seas in Montego Bay.
Dave
Amazing picture!! I hope you have that in a frame hanging up somewhere :D
-
The Caribbean Princess does in fact have models. I'm looking at one right now. They are small by comparison to Carnival models, but very nice.:D
Thanks everyone! I'll be picking it up anyway, even if it's smaller. If anything, I'll be saving $15!
Reviews of Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter
in Bahamas
Posted
My husband and I have been here but it was many many years ago. I was wondering if anyone has gone recently and if the beaches there are still nice, and how the Dolphin encounter is? We are traveling with our 5 year old daughter this time.
