What did the tour guide say when you told them you were not actually joining the tour? You also said you got cable car tickets for the return. Do you mean you bought them in advance? 

I should know this; however, we rarely get off as soon as we dock and I don't know if things have changed post-Covid. What is the process for getting priority tendering for platinum-level guests, no Carnival excursion? Also, if you want to be one of the first off the ship (non-tender port), is there any priority advantage for platinum guests? If so, what is the process? I have 2 ports on an upcoming cruise where I have planned something requiring me to get off asap. 

Last question. When it says we arrive in port at 8 a.m., refresh my memory, are we able get off at 8 or we wait for clearance, and then get off as soon as they announce we can.

Were staterooms refurbished (carpet, etc), during recent dry dock? Thanks!

We are arriving next week via the Carnival Magic and I have booked a private charter. I am confused about this issue I have seen on various threads of ship time and Cayman time. Can someone help explain what the difference will be. My Carnival itinerary says we arrive at "7am".
