  1. Not us! Look, it seems that some pandemic pops up every year, it’s Sika, it’s Saars, , its Noro, it’s well you get it. Not saying these are not serious, but if we knee jerked reaction at every one of these things (and next year’s to come) , we would all stay home in a bubble. Live life, take precautions  and trust In God!

  2. Thinking of doing a full transit Panama cruise, West Bound. Does anyone have any information as to any recommended inoculations or vaccinations that are needed or necessary for this cruise? Thank you in advance for any info

  3. One of the biggest reasons to do an Alaskan Cruise is the magnificent scenery. What better way than to always have those vistas outside your door, and be able to step out at you leisure and enjoy. No running up to the d ck, just a step away. As we a,wayscruise with our traveling friends, next door to us, we always open the divider and have twice the space for maximum viewing.

  4. Last year we had paid gratuities, Classic Beverage Package, not big drinkers but we did have a "few" each day :)! We also had a whopping $500.00 on board credit! We are not gamblers, or spa users, so upon being out to sea, went to the onboard Apple Store a got a "free iPad" which I'm using right now😀😀❤️. Love it! We think it was a great use of a perk!

  5. So many"magic moments" on each cruise, which is why we love it so and cruise so much! My wife and I agree that the most "memorable magic moment" is the times we cruise with newbies that we are introducing to the cruising. That very moment when they step into the atrium lobby for the first time right after boarding. We watch for that child-like delight on their faces and the awe that this is all on a ship, not a land based hotel! While they endeavor to soak it all in! Then my wife and I re-live our first time having this most remarkable of experiences. She always says: "making memories," and we do!

    Golf

Thanks, was just wondering if anyone here had done it, and what they used for transportation logistics to and from. And if they could recommend the most forgiving course of the three on the island🙄🏌️

    Golf

Any recommendations for a round of golf in Aruba, we are there overnight in March on the Eclipse?

Anyone done this on their own, can you give me the logistics as to how to pull it off?

    Thanks

  6. Since there has been no response anywhere on this question I posed, thought to post this.

My golf buddy and I , in spite of the expense, decided to do this excursion through Celebrity. We felt that it would be an great experience for two old Mainiac duffers to play on a TPC Golf venue.

We played on a Sunday afternoon, which was going to be our overnight in Categena so no time issues, tee time 1:45, all arranged by Celebrity. There was also another threesome from the ship that played at the same time. They teed off ahead of us. The course was in a word ours! We saw no other players at all, although you could see that there had been heavy play earlier. The shuttle driver and guide actually waited for all of us to complete play at the club.

excursion included: RT transport with driver and guide, appx 45 min, clubs (Titlist set) , carts, bottled water supply with ice it was hot!, lunch and an awesome venue for golf! All arrangements went off without a hitch and was top notch all the way!An incredible experience for my buddy and I, of which we rubbed into our other foursome members,

Already researching another for our next year's cruise. Loved it!

  7. We were surprised, and I would have liked to see Panama City. However, by the end of the day I was relieved. Honestly, by the time we exited the third "chamber" of the Gatun Locks, I was over it and just wanted to be back on the ship.:o I'm glad we did the ferry because we hadn't seen the canal before, but the only way I'll ever transit the Panama Canal again is if I happen to book a cruise that goes through!:D

We cancelled the ferry and went to see the locks, old and new The Island Princess, which we have been on, was going thru the Gatun lock while we were there and my wife said the same thing as you!:)

  8. I was told last week on the Equinox that I "was sitting in someone's chair!" I am a pretty big guy, so I immediately jumped up and apologized to the person that i had bee sitting on for the last hour and a half, and said that I hoped that they were not injured in any way! I must have damaged their vocal cords as there was no answer!

  9. We have stayed here, and as stated is absolutely perfect for a one night stay before your cruise departs. We love to walk down to the causeway bridge, maybe 3-4 blocks and watch the ship departures from this vantage point, and enjoy the feeling that we are doing this tomorrow. Strip mall out back , the Harbor Shops, have everything you need for your evening. Multiple Restaurants, stores and wine store options. We try to hit the included breakfast early, and use their subcontractor shuttle to port, and to airport. More expensive than a cab, but stress free for us. We book early and usually get a good rate. :)

  10. Posted this several days ago on the Columbia/Categena forum, lots of views but no replies. Myself and my fellow golf nut buddy are considering doing this, bit expensive, but how often do you actually get a chance off a cruise to play adjacent to the Carribean?

Anyone have any knowledge on this experience? Celebrity site has no reviews. Anyone done it? Heard anything re it? Thanks
