Anyone with recent info on how to keep spirits from last night of first cruise...

Can we:

-buy it last night and leave it in leave it in luggage awaiting 2nd leg of our "back-2-back" cruises?

Any other ideas?

I am shocked that Family Line Carnival would hire this woman. Honestly,

WoW!! I agree totally!!! I thought they billed this as a "concert" series. Already booked to see Journey on Victory in May 2015.

Maybe Celebrity will realize their bar sales are going down at the bar nearest the LAX band and will get the point to get rid of them. Having a bad band near the bar is bad business!

Ok...Now I'm concerned!!! I guess the plan will be to "not expect too much re. music

(which is ironic, seeing this was always my "dream" cruise on X as a "premium" cruise line:confused: )

...and look to for other enjoyments to look forward to.

BTW: NCL and Carnival have the talented bands from the Philippines.

Seems like the segment of the post you quoted gives you several alternatives: guitarist, jazz quartet (both of which the poster said were excellent) and a DJ in the Martini Bar.

 

What other alternatives were you looking for?

I guess I was hoping for a band you could dance to...

Just off the Thanksgiving sailing on the Reflection and unfortunately they are not that good. The male lead singer has a very weak voice, I mean barely worth listening to. They also seemed to play the exact same songs every time I saw them.

 

Sitting at the passport bar before dinner getting a drink was painful sometimes we would just hope the DJ in Martini bar would start playing and make them shut up. The guitarist in the ensemble lounge, and the jazz quartet were amazing they both had great voices and accepted song requests so seek them out. Avoid LAX at all costs.

Wow! This is our first S-CLASS cruise, but given the extremely negative reviews about the dancing and bands, i.e LAX, I'm considering going back to NCL or even Carnival:confused:

Please, could someone give me some other music or dance alternatives on-board Reflection???

So, Valor had a change of plans Best Sellers will now be on our Oct cruise instead of a band I was looking forward to hear...

 

Not much out there about them...

He heard they are going to be on Valor this fall.

Hubby and I are wondering as well...I think we saw them years ago and they played more mellow songs, pop 40. Not a band one requests "Freebird".

Need some advice on the following:

1. My husband and I are traveling with another couple.

2. We booked our rooms technically, with the guys in one, and ladies in another. We were then able to double our C&A savings certificates.

---The guys would pre-purchase Bev pkg for themselves.

3. Our plan was upon arrival, switch up and change, to couples in each room.

---New cards would then be issued.

HERE'S MY Q:

If the guys, pre-cruise, buy the Bev pkg for their "cabin", how would it work, when we change cabins as per the use of bev pkg since we changed occupancy.. ...even though the bev pkg is in their names.

4. I need you type-a problem solver people to help me figure this out :eek:

Please, please help me figure it out...

Remember they've ALREADY PURCHASED THE BEV. PKG before boarding....

Hi Rock Cover Band lovers!

 

Just recieved info from the entertainment dept and spoke with the man who books the bands...Great guy, and he shared the difficulties of accurate info after the bands return home on vacation. Gov't stuff and regs...

 

So, here's some misc items we talked about:

 

-They are looking to place bands on Pride and Legend-presently w/o a band. No time frame yet...

 

All this subject to change....

Bands just signed for new contracts...

Music Mix will begin 3/8 on Fascination

Highlight (not Music Highlight-different band) on 3/8 Triumph

Music ( something-begins with a "C") on 3/8 Glory

New band Hilux -on Spirit in March

Music Society-Magic

Music Boardwalk currently on Miracle probably till May, then to Fantasy

Music Unlimited back to Miracle in May

Possible Blood Power back to Magic in May

 

Expect each band to have 8 month cotracts, but also could change as well as the ship.

This is not all-inclusive but just from the notes I jotted down.

Will do e-mail correspodance in future
