thanks for the review, we go next week for Christmas and are looking forward to doing nothing. we've been to both stops many times so will probably just relax and enjoy the ship.

We had a 2:20 flight out of Heathrow and a 7:40 meeting time for our transfer. It took two hours to get there due mostly to heavy traffic, and yes the seats were hard and there were no facilities on the bus. Check in was a line but moved alright and we ended up with a couple hours before our flight. Then onto the nightmare called Atlanta.

No we were on your cruise, sorry I didn't make it to the Meet and Greet, we had 5:30 dinner and it was close after the muster drill. Thanks for your review it brought back some wonderful memories. I was just telling my husband that it was a week today since what I call the day from hell what with the airports and all the waiting in line for passport control and handling the luggage. Guess we're getting too old for heavy traveling. But it was a great itinerary, that we had actually done most of back in 2004, such beautiful countries.

We just did our own thing in Guernsey also. A cute little town and really overran with tourists, with us and the queen victoria, both tendering. Ice cream was good.

We just returned and although we stayed at the Radisson the timing was similar. A man was waiting at the airport with a sign for Princess cruises, not individual, we were in fact in a van with a couple for the Grosvenor. On the last day we had to have luggage outside door at 8:30 am and bus was there for pick up at 10:30. It was a straight trip to Southampton with no stops. Check in at the pier was easy and luggage was already on way to cabin.

Just returned from 12 days on the Royal, it had the smallest theatre we have been on in 30 cruises.

Thx so very much!! Now our sailing just needs luck of the Irish like yours did to make it to Guernsey!! So far this season the Royal is 1 for 3!
We on the June 6-18 made it to Guernsey but had to miss Invergordon due to a gale storm.

We sailed on the original Royal back in 2004 and just completed a cruise on the new ship this week. The new one is beautiful but maybe a little too big and I think they are trying too hard and overdo the fancy stuff. Enjoyed them both but the first was special.

I finally got to order the rum for my husband. Originally they didn't list the rum for order and told me to wait until I got onboard but i kept checking and it did show a month or so out from cruise and so I ordered it. A bit pricey but way less then some other lines.

If you are boarding on Saturday, the wedding will be over before you get onboard.
-
I used snail mail to send in my husband's papers, showed up right after we booked in the personalizer information.
-
Should tickets be bought in advance for one of these buses or is it easy to do at the site after drop off from ship.
-
You may find the OJ only at breakfast, so make use of your cabin refrigerator and store some, same for chocolate milk.

My preference is to cruise. We have done several different lines and don't really have a favorite although we are platinum on Carnival and almost on Princess and have done several cruises on Holland and Royal. We just love to cruise and aren't picky.

Thanks to all that answered, I appreciate your time and information. Our hotel is part of a package deal and so is unchangeable but I would imagine we could get a taxi to the museum.

This will be our third visit to this wonderful city, we are staying at the Radisson Grafton and on the map it looks to be reasonably close to the British Museum, is it really walkable. We have never been to this museum and my husband doesn't walk long long distances but wants to see it. Thanks for your help.

Question to those who have booked a pre-cruise hotel with Princess - Does the hotel show up on your cruise personalizer? We are doing a cruise-tour with Princess starting in Budapest. We are flying in a day early. We have booked the hotel Princess has us in for the night before and the hotel graciously will keep us in the same room for the whole stay. Princess is not sure whether or not they can book us for the day before. I know they will notify us if they can. I'm just wondering if it will show up in the personalizer. Thanks.
Go into your cruise personalizer and click on top tab that says Calendar and Planning. It will be in the detail of city you are staying in.
