  1. My issue is I am in recovery  mode from Covid and can test positive weeks or months after.  Carnival accepts Documentation  of Recovery along with a positive Covid test within 90 days ( but no less than 10 days if I am not mistaken ) .  Bermuda sounds like they need a negative test and don’t mention Documentation of Recovery for non  residents.  It sounds like they are dictating if I can get on the ship or not.  I don’t mind staying on the ship in port, but do I even have that option?

  2. I am not having luck finding this on my own.  I am sailing on the Valor in 2022.  I noticed when researching the extended aft balconies, that some have couches and some do not.  Some  of the photos and videos were older so  I am not sure if they were upgraded to couches  or they were taken away or is there really a mix.  ( and wondering why some would have them and some would not) I feel like I am being gipped for  not having a couch, but I don't know how real that is.  Any recent Deck 7 Extended Balcony people out there who can shed some light on this? I was looking at 7447 and 7448. Both show no couches in their photos/video.

  3. I have a non refundable Casino Rate so I would lose my $198.  I did  my insurance through Insurenytrip and they already transferred it to this cruise from one that was cancelled in August   My insurance is under a "Cancel for Any reason" which will allow me to get a full refund.  Glad I took that.  My cruise is January 3rd out of  Miami.   I have the feeling it will be cancelled,  so I am holding out. I  made my final  payment Friday.

  4. Glad I found this thread. I am no where near Elite,  Sorry about losing all that.   I had a $100 pp inside with $200 OBC on the Radiance for 8/31.  Cancelled.   It was a great deal to Bermuda and I didn't  have to take a plane to get NY.   I have yet to get a cancellation notice ( most people did) and I got an email today reminding me that final payment is June 2.  What the heck?   I think I will take the FCC and $600 OBC. I am also going to to wait and see if I get my offer back,  I already booked a Premier and the the other is Getaway or Hot Streak Bonus.   I didn't know if I should call the Players Club or just fill out the form and wait to see what happens.  Looking at Lazydayz post, I may be SOL.   So bummed.

The only reason I ask the question is that I viewed a You Tube Video where there was a door from the Escape Haven into the Vibe.  So I thought this might be an extra perk for the Haven.

Unfortunately, on my last two Breakaway Haven cruises, the lounges were all taken when I went to the Haven area (Lounge hogs there as well!):classic_sad:

Having an Aft Haven cabin, I thought there would be plenty of lounges available, but the "Forward Cabin" Haven people grabbed the lounges very early.

I guess the Early Bird gets the lounges (and keeps them for the day!):classic_tongue:

Well, at least I had my large balcony in the aft...but no bar service!

    Don

You can get a bar set up in your room.  That might help! :)

  6. I am trying to figure out who to contact to merge the 3 Roll Calls for a 2020 Sailing.  My guess is, since it never shows up on "Find my Roll Call" someone decides to create new one.  (Although, one finally showed up today)  I know there are various Hosts on CC,  but the only one I see is Laura and I am allowed to send 0 messages per day,  so I don't know who to ask .  Can anyone assist me?  Thank you in advance.

  7. Grand Cayman Town & Country Off-Road Adventure To Barker's National Park.

My friend does not like water activities since she cannot swim and they scare her. Most excursions are water related then I came across this one. It sounds like you drive by a lot of nice places but don't stop. If anyone has done this, do you get to stop along the way or is everything just a blur as you drive by?

  8. On the NCL app , you had to pay for messaging and could link up to other friend and family who also paid for the messaging. It was great. Is it free on this app? I did downloaded it and have been playing with it for the last month. I notice it has a"More to Come" statement and I assume once you board, it updates everything to coincide with the cruise you are on. I am hoping that is the case. ( Shows, schedule of events, alert you when an event you want to do is coming up, weather, menus of day etc) Maybe it's wishful thinking.

  9. We were put in an accessible suite on a Millenium Class ship. The room was larger, however other changes in the cabin did not work for us.

The clothes closet had only a low bar, so my dresses were dragging on the floor. The sing was not at a usable height. The shower had no means of containing water, when I took a shower water was all over the bathroom floor. After this one mistake we took showers in the spa changing rooms. The differences that made it accessible were a big drawback to us. Try to get a normal sky suite if you can.

I am going to keep checking over the next few weeks to see if anything opens up. I am hoping for some cancellations or upgrades that will put the rooms back in inventory. If nothing comes up, I am stuck where I am. I can't afford to upgrade again. ( wish I could though) .

  10. I upgraded us from an Aqua Class to a GTY Sky Suite ( that was all that was available so you don't see where it is) and I got an Accessible. We are sailing June 2nd. I was expecting to find out my cabin when we checked in at the dock but two days later they assigned me this one. I suppose I could have found this out at the docl also. Anyway, I feel kind of funny being in an Accessible cabin when I do not have a need for it. I would hope they would move us if someone really needs it. I read that they will move you if you find that a regular cabin of the same class comes back into inventory and you can see if on the booking site. ( Not GTY) I am going to keep checking. Otherwise, I will do my best not feel like I am committing a crime by having one of these cabins. It makes me a little uncomfortable.

  11. Are you talking about Maya Chan?

If you go to their website you will see their pricing and transport is included.

If you are meaning Jaimie’s- it is in the middle of the malecon about 2.5 miles from port.

Apology, 12 minutes. I did contact them today and they have a spot for us. Maya Chan was sold out for June already. Putting my deposit down tomorrow. I like that it is closer to the port too.

  12. Just left Jaime’s

    Book it now.

Best day of the cruise by far.

Jaimie and staff we’re perfect and friendly.

Drinks never stopped and the food was amazing.

    How good was it?

The group started talking about trying to make sure we had a stop in costa maya For next years cruise, just to get back

    To Jaimie’s.

I did a quick search and it looks like its about 12 miles from port. (Trip Advisor Map) How much was the cab ride? I am going to inquire about a June booking since they only take 35 people. Thanks for the recommendation. I am not a big fan of Costa Maya and always have trouble finding something I might like to do.

  13. We upgraded on board. $10 per day each. Seems too us most drinks we enjoy were $11 - 13. Didn't want to be annoyed by signing things or having all those amounts added to our account. When we left the ship our balance was easy to read and less than 1/2 page. Exactly what we expected.

I booked with the free Classic Beverage Package, so if I upgrade on board, it still just $70 total? I would think so, but just want to make sure. I have some OBC that would cover that. I wouldn't mind some of those more pricey libations.;)

  14. I just saw this post after I stated one inquiring about another tour. This one sounds fabulous. Can you tell me what time they start the tour and how long it is? We are tendering in and the port schedule is 7:00 AM-3:30PM Not one of the long days. I want to make sure we get back before the last tender.

  15. I just booked a June cruise and was looking forward to seeing this. Luckily I have been to the museum several times and did do a glass blowing, but that was several years ago and I thought it would be great to see this program on board. It's disappointing to hear, but I can't let it ruin my vacation. Worse comes to worse, I make the 6 hour drive to Corning.:o

I hope nothing else changes. We picked this ship and the date against 5 other possible choices.
