My travel companion always ordered a large pineapple juice at breakfast.  It was free up until 10 am.  After that, they charged for it so she brought a can of Coke from her cabin for lunch.

Thats great to hear... I love pineapple juice and will do the same for breakfast.

  2. Thank you all for the responses. I wont have the drink package and im trying to limit my soda intake so the lemonade will work just fine to quench my thirst. I have found that bringing my own sippy cup has worked best so I dont have to keep refilling the small glasses they provide. I usually have a collection of apple juice and orange juice in the fridge each day from breakfast.

  3. I know the free drinks vary from cruise line to cruise line. Could someone please let me know what free drinks are in the Princess buffet? In the past I have seen iced tea, lemonade and even punch. I know most of these are watered down. TYIA.

So wait a minute. You can't even gamble inside casino?

You are allowed to gamble. I was there last May and had no issues. When you get to the front desk, you will pay your entrance then head on inside. The actual casino area is pretty small but it was fun to see it for my own eyes and say I was there.

  5. I am confused on Colosseum tickets. I believe I am on the official Colosseum website (coopculture.it) - they offer open tickets (good for 2 consecutive days from now until the end of the year). They also offer scheduled time and date tickets (also good for 2 days but entrance to Colosseum at a scheduled time.). They are the same price. I don't understand the benefit of having a scheduled time. I assume both tickets allow you to skip the ticket buying line, and neither allow you to skip security. Do they stop admissions when the Colosseum reaches capacity, and so an open ticket you would wait but a scheduled time you would still get in?

    thanks.

I was just looking into this same thing. From what I read, there is a capacity of 3000. Once they hit that limit, no more people are allowed in until others leave. If you have a timed ticket, you would get next priority over open ticket. Im interested in belvedere sections so Im opting for the timed tickets as open cannot access that section.

  6. Thanks for the review.

Just some notes on salmon and eggs made to order. If you don't see the salmon, ask for it. They may have it available upon request.

Eggs made to order have never been available in Oasis class Windjammer. However, you should be able to find them in the Main Dining Room, Johnny Rockets, and Wipeout Cafe.

That is not good news. I was on NOS in November and had eggs over easy and a ham omelette made to order every morning. All well

  7. Great seeing pictures of Labadee. I was just there in November and went to 2 of the beaches there. The 2nd beach was the same one you went to. When I was there there were clear areas in the water where I saw many lil fish. I did wear my water shoes as I had read about the rough rocks. What I did not expect was how shallow the coral was. I had to push off a lot of it as to not scrape my legs as I floated over it. Still had a good time there.

  8. What did you think about the beds? I've read a lot of complaints lately, and while I know preferences are subjective, firm vs.soft, etc. I'm more worried about the springs poking through the mattress comments. Curious what your experience was.

Glad to see the positives in your review.

I was on the NOS a few weeks ago and had no issues with the beds. They were neither too hard nor too soft. You will not find any springs poking through the matresses

  9. A group of 4 of us were also on this cruise (40's) and had a great time. Getting on the ship was a headache as they had to sail in employees from up north to help with the registration. The food in the windjammer was the worse I had on any of my 8 cruises. The MDR however was in par with other cruises, having some great and some no so great dishes. The entertainment sucked except for the the comedy and the ice dancing. Other than these, the ship was beautiful and very well kept. There was a daily smell of metal polish but for the sake of keeping the ship beautiful, I did not mind. Our hear waiter and assistant waiter were awesome. We had Maurice from Jamiaca who might be better know as the "balancing waiter" as he would walk around daily balancing trays of juice and coffee on his head. I would sail the NOS again and look forward to my next cruise.
