All this talk of cabs and shuttles- are Uber and Lyft not very popular in Seattle? I'm traveling in late August and was going to just use either Uber or Lyft to get around. (We're staying a night early and leaving a night late, so we want to do some sight seeing in Seattle before and after the cruise.)
We used Uber in the past, and it was great. BTW we returned a rental car to the airport and saw a lot of their Priuses standing by in the parking lot. We like to go a day early and sightsee too.

No, but our hotel (Arc La Rambla) had a luggage storage section..

We stayed at Arc La Rambla. It was close to Playa Catalunya. They have a left luggage space for early arrivals, and staff were helpful with shopping suggestions as I had delayed luggage. (Husband got his luggage.)

Thank you for this very helpful information! I'm looking into all the suggested options (listed below to help others) but I'm running into one problem - they are all for up to 8 people and we're a group of 9! Ugh.
So far I think the De Baux castle sounds like a great option with kids. I'm curious if anyone has gone to Arles and seen the Vincent Van Gogh and if they enjoyed that. I'm still trying to figure out what to do during our time at point. Our family wants to see sites as much as possible.

We went with ProvenceTravel (https://www.provence-travel.com/) based on Rick Steves' recommendation. I would contact them and see if they can work something out.
I absolutely had to see the Van Gogh Art Immersion exhibit at Carrieres des Lumiere in Les Baux. tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1819081-d2651179-Reviews-Carrieres_des_Lumieres-Les_Baux_de_Provence_Bouches_du_Rhone_Provence_Alpes_Cote.html
I ended up setting up a tour for 13 passengers. We had two vans and two guides. Our guide Edward was well versed in French history. We went to the hospital where Van Gogh was and saw the yellow house. In addition we toured Arles. It was the highlight of our whole trip.
<Edit: Oh, this is an old post,, but maybe someone else will need info.>

We took the Streaty Food Tour https://www.streaty.com/city/street-food-tours-in-palermo/ which I booked on Viator.com. We had a walking tour of the market area, lots of history and tried a variety of Sicilian food. The tour lasted 2-3 hours and involved a lot of walking.
We met at the Teatro Massimo just outside the food markets. There are at least a few tours going on simultaneously. We were not with Streaty himself, but the guide was fine.
There were some other food tours. They just were rated a little lower.

I would go to Florence. With the Uffizi Museum and so many other sites to see I would spend all my time there.
For our most recent trip the museums in Florence were closed on Monday, so we just went to Pisa on our own. We had been before and loved it. This time it was much more crowded and touristy. The Field of Miracles was blocked off that day-maybe because of new grass.

Thanks. I am leaving on Friday. Someone said hotel to port should be 20 euros, and there are taxis waiting at the ship to take you to BCN for 39 euros. That's better than the 50 e I had heard before.

I didn't book transportation to the ship yet. Does anyone have prices on that?
Also what about the price from the ship to the airport? I think they quoted 50 Euros for 2 passengers.
I gather they don't have any group transfers in Barcelona; it's all taxis. Right?
-
Planning to stay at Hotel Arc La Ramblas. It sounds nice and relatively convenient to sites.
I booked a transfer online with Welcome something. It is 37 euros to the hotel.
(The hotel offered the same service at 3 e more...)

Hi,
It was the Countdown Clock. The first part was fine, but when I tried to paste it, it didn't work. Thank you for answering.

I don't think I would take a chance just to save a little. I would book with a local company with good reviews on Cruise Critic &/or TripAdvisor.

Thank you. The tips about gps and International signs are helpful.

KCcruisin07, we rented from Mistral. They were highly recommended back in 2012 when we went to Cannes and it was perfect. We could walk from the port to get the car.
Good luck
Marsha
Thank you! Any tips for driving there? My husband is used to metropolitan areas in the US like Orange County, etc.

Hank, our car is booked. We are using the same company as last time and we will be staying clear of MC and anywhere east of Antibes. We have been advised to visit Antibes first think in the morning and then return to Cannes from Saint Paul de Vence. Would you agree with this?
Thanks Hank.
Marsha
Marsha,
Please tell me what company you use. We are considering renting a car because it would open more options for us, but I realize that traffic will be heavy during the film festival.

Hi,
We are on Celebrity Infiniity on 5/17/19. Thank you!

I've done this before, but can you please tell me how to be added to a roll call? I did post to the roll call, but that didn't work.

Thanks, everyone!

Yes, I would like to know about the new train to Civitivecchia for cruisers. Is it possible to board in Trastevere?

We've been to Florence previously. This time I would like to go to Lucca (or Siena). On our last Med cruise we took a bus/train combination to Florence and went on our own from there. I think one couple took the train on to Lucca. If we did that, could I also see the Uffizi again? If so would that be better before or after Lucca? Our ship arrives at 7 a.m. and leaves at 10 p.m.

Thank you for all the information. That makes me feel better. We would be coming from Vietnam, Thailand and possibly Cambodia. It doesn't look like those countries are affected at this point.
-
When is this supposed to go into effect if known? Is the yellow fever vaccination already required? No one seems to mention this. We have both had reactions to shots (probably the carrier according to our PCP).

We used Uber from the airport to the port and from the port to a hotel in SeaTac.
Barcelona Taxis - shuttles

... and prices are fixed, so taking taxis was pretty easy.
