  1. Before the ships stopped going there I went for a massage every time I was there.  The best ever!  Can't remember where it was.  Also don't know if it's still there.  Does anyone have any information.  It was a big place with lots of massages, pedicures etc.  We had to go in a cab.

  2. Has anyone done the America's Cup Regatta.  Do you have to be part of the crew?  If you don't do people get upset?  I've always wanted to do this but I'm not as agile as I used to be.  Not sure I can move as much as needed for this.

I asked FO price to book now and they said I needed to go via T/A it was FO that told me it was £25 day, the agent confirmed £25 pppd that is why I wondered how if price is showing £15pppd online.

As always thank you everyone for responding and giving me useful information.

Is this on Royal?  If so go to Royal's web site and click on already booked at top.  Go to your cruise personalizer and purchase beverage package, speciality dining, show reservations etc.  don't need to book through travel agent

  4. Thanks for the input....think we're gonna do NCL and let the first 2 pick their FREE BEVERAGE PACKAGE promo and then the third person won't be required to purchase one since the first two guests are not "purchasing" theirs.

Too bad all you are basing your decision on only the drink package. So much more to a Royal cruise to consider. Have done both NCL & RCCl. NCL would have to be free before I chose over RCCL any destination any ship. No comparison!

  5. The dress code states no shorts in MDR. On the last night of our cruise my nephew was asked to go change his nice docker shorts. He said all he had was like sweat pants to sleep in as in was packed to leave. They told him that would be ok. So he went and changed his shorts. If men wana to wear shorts or T-shirts go to the Windjammer thus try to maintain a small degree of class in the MDR.

Do they give you any flak for wearing shorts on non formal nights?
  6. Thank you for your posts and pics. I will be on the Brilliance on Sept. 22. This will be my first time to Europe. My main question at this point is regarding Euros. Do we need to get and is it better to get at bank before leaving home or on ship?

    Thank you

We will be leaving home tomorrow, flying to Barcelona [emoji633] and boarding Brilliance on Tuesday. Now that we have 'free roaming' on my mobile within the EU I've paid for some extra data for a month so will be able to post from that whilst ashore.

We also get 4x24 hr lots of Wifi onboard due to our Diamond + perks so will use that at sea, especially when DH needs to check the cricket scores. [emoji6][emoji967]

    The itinerary is

    Villefranche

    Livorno

    Civitivecchia

    Salerno

    Sea Day

    Venice (overnight)

    Ravenna

    Kotor

    2 sea days

    Barcelona

I have written a Live blog before, once on Rhapsody in 2015 and once on Azamara.

We are an English couple, have visited all the ports before, except Ravenna, have booked 3 largish group tours with an independent company plus one small group tour with fellow CC posters.

I'm afraid I don't have the gift of writing amusingly but I love reading these blogs and travelling vicariously along, so I hope you'll bear with me.

  7. Thanks for your reply. I was wondering when lobster night was. I was thinking night 6 but glad to know it's 5. I will probably book the Chef's Table for night 4 or 6.

I was hoping for someone to reply who had gone to the Chef's Table. I have done it 3 times before and 2 out of those 3 have been excellent. Worth the expense.

  8. I'm traveling with a group of 6-8 people who want to book the Chef's Table on the Explorer in September. I want to go lobster night in the dining room. Does anyone know how many nights they have the Chef's Table? Lobster is usually the second formal night but which night is that on this cruise. We sail on a Friday.

    Thanks for your comments.

  9. I will be on the Ruby Princess in September. We've done the wine tour as well as the blow hole, Hussongs etc. Just want something a little different. We are also thinking of going to a place called LaFonda for lunch. Just not sure how to get there. It's back towards Rosarita but of course not that far. Are there vans at the dock when we get off the ship that will take us there? I don't remember if there are or not. I would like to arrange transportation before we get there if possible.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  10. I am with a group of ladies stopping in Ensenada in September. We have done the wine tour several times and ant something other than walking around town and eating tacos. We would like to go to Puerto Nuevo for lobster. Is there a bus or van or something we can book when we get off the ship or make arrangements before hand.

    Any information will be appreciated.

    Thank you.
