Actually, there is only 1 bridge. The map shows A1A crossing the St. Johns River, but in fact it is a ferry that crosses at that location.
The 9A Dames Point bridge is the one that everyone is talking about. The ship clears it by 5 or 6 feet at most.
Look for Kroozfoolz's video in this forum or the All Fascination forum.
Usually they will hold the muster drill before departing, but not always. The bridge is about 10-15 mins from the port once the ship pulls away.

Thanks for this. We are sailing on the FAscination in Sept. and I have looked all over to find out long it would take to clear the bridge. I do hope that the muster drill, or "sinking practice" as it is called at our house, is quick and painless. I definately want my MIL to see this. It will freak her out.:p

I just couldn’t resist. Since I have not yet left on my fist “civilian” cruise I thought I’d post a couple of favorites from an Uncle Sam cruise.
The bottom was taken when we left Norway, into a NASTY storm.
Wow, nice shots! Don't worry, your civilian cruise should be a little more calm than that.:D

We haven't. Neither of us likes the photo of US! *ROFL*
It's a great picture of both of you. I agree, you should have it enlarged and framed. What a great memory.

This was taken at sunset near Ensenada.....no retouching or photoshop....the sky actually was that color.....
I thought that was a photographers background.:o That sunset is gorgeous.

On the Glory, the buffet lunch menu was a different cuisine every day. The day they served "American" there was fried chicken. I don't eat the buffet much, so I don't remember what sides went with the chicken, but I think that day will be your best bet to get fried okra.

Thanks Y'all. My DH and DS love to take pictures, we took over 1000 pictures last summer on our cruise, and this one really came out well. When we finally make it to Alaska, there is no telling how many we will come back with.

These pictures are wonderful and I am sure they each bring back great memories. We are all so blessed to have had the chance to see these beautiful sites outside of magazines. Some of the photos take my breath away, they are so awesome.

I'm glad you got the bear back, but you should have warned me in the title that it was a tear-jerker story. It's a good thing I am alone, I would hate to have to explain why I am all teary-eyed.
Now you have a great story to tell about his big adventure.

The World's Longest and Most Picture Laden Miracle Review Ever! May 24-June 1
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Welcome to Cruise Critic. You can find all kinds of reviews for the ships on here and they are a huge help. This link should take you to one that I read before our Glory trip a couple of years ago. It is one that PaulMedik did of the Western Carib aboard the Glory.

As an aside, I visited Savannah last week for the first time, and I must say, it was lovely.
