How? Others onboard haven't exactly felt that way.

Were you also on board ?  What do you feel they didn't  do for you  ?

I personally thought giving free booze for 2 days was nice for the drinkers on board, kind of eased the pain.  Free internet to scramble finding  flights or hotels .  They also let us stay on board today till 3:00 pm .  Kind of nice breakfast  and  lunch before leaving for hotel.

So as I  stated  I thought the staff did the best they could.  That being said could the powers that be  maybe not board all those people in Vancouver then go park across the bay for 2 days,  yeah.  Should they have given the people who boarded in LA and sat on board for 4 days going nowhere the chose to  leave , sure. The best was made out of a bad situation and all aboard are getting all monies back plus fcc plus extra expenses.

  2. Well I'm  sitting in the Windjammer just finished breakfast,  they are letting us stay on board till 4 pm.  This works out great cause we can't  check onto our hotel till 3 pm.  So we will have a late lunch then we are good to go. I  must say they are bending over backwards to accommodate everyone.

Well almost time for this adventure to end and I  will never board the Radiance  again.  But I  am already looking for Alaska cruise  on Ovation in Sept.we'll see.

  3. I'm  also on this non cruise and yes it sucks. We have been on board since  LA. .  We just spent 3 hours on the phone trying to exchange our tickets to no avail .  Had to make new reservations  and lost almost 700.00 one way airfare.  Also  we were lucky enough to snag a hotel close to the airport so we will fly back to LAX on Monday morning.  Lucky for us my daughter is a flight attendant and she flys in on Monday also so got my ride home.

The other bummer I  changed rooms between cruises si now I'll be packing again for the 3rd time in 7 days yuck.

  4. My daughter and I were in the DR last month and did a ship excursion, a city tour with beach break.  Only problem for me was lots of walking which I  can't  do,  but my daughter enjoyed it . I  stayed on the nice ac bus.  Also they drop you off at the other end of the shops and again a long walk back to ship. That being said they do have  a free shuttle that will get you to the end of the pier.  Also there is a pool and lazy river where the shops are located that is also free or at least that's what we were told.

  5. I'm onboard and never heard anything on Monday night but, felt something yesterday morning.  We were having breakfast in the Windjammer by the window when we felt a shutter like a car feels when you slam on the brakes.  Then the ship slowed and we stopped moving .  We watched fir about 5 to 10 minutes every so often the ending would churn up the water and it looked like it was trying to turn a bit then it would stop. We mentioned it to the one of the head waiter and asked if he knew of any problems he said no everything is fine .  Well after a bit  we were moving again but very slowly.   That happen at about 10 in the morning.  The announcement  to forgo all ports was about 3:30 I  believe.

We are also on the next cruise so hoping it gets fixed.  This portion wasn't  really  that big of a deal for us been to the ports before so not too disappointed.   I do feel bad for people that are only on this leg.  We booked to just sail rather than fly. Oh and we already received  onboard credit.

If I  get anymore updates I'll  come back and post.

  6. Was our first cruise also Aug 88,  can't remember the itinerary  just remember it was the Caribbean.

Funny story behind this trip my husband planned the whole thing to surprise  me for our anniversary.   The surprise would have been horrendous had it gone the way he planned.  He was going to tell me about it a couple of days before the trip, but thank goodness some women he worked with told him he better give me more time. He ended telling me 3 weeks before and I  spent the next 2 weeks trying to figure out  what you should wear on a cruise and shopping.

After that one I  was hooked for life.

  7. Just got off Navigator b2b and did save some money.  They use to have the whole side wall of poker machines, not anymore.  They put new penny slots there and moved a few poker machines over to the corner near the ladies room. Of the eight machines 6 worked all the time , another became available somewhere near day 8 for me.  Every night myself and others would rush down after dinner to find them full.  I ended up not gambling 4 out of 11 days.  Only partially on 3 other nights cause I  went back down after 11 pm.  Just don't  understand why they took them out.  By the way Penny slots were never full.

  8. I have tried finding out how to get to Tri-rail station.  All I can find is level 3 to people mover.  Sounds good but does anyone know which terminal it's a big airport.  On airport site it says Skytrain is temporarily  closed is that the same as people mover tram ?  Thanks in advance for any help.

  9. I'm  close to 500 points  and have never received  upgraded toiletries.   Just got home last week , from a cruise I  thought I  would ask about it .  Upon asking  my cabin attendant  was told I'd  have to go to C/A  to ask for it. I didn't need it that bad.

  10. Strictly  from my last cruise on the Navigator,  no the food did not follow what was served in MDR.

It was my 2nd solo cruise and I  only went to the MDR 2 nights and Windjammer the other 5 .  Sad offerings not like it use to be. One of my favorites is the turkey dinner last night of cruise, will to my surprise no turkey .  To be honest it was basically the same thing every night.
