  1. Thanks for sharing! My 19 year old son (who is a foody) and I will be attending this same Chef's Table on the Breeze in January and we're both very excited.

If hes a foody... I am for the most part... Have him ask to take pics and/or vid of the folks preparing the dishes! I didnt think of this this till I was done with dinner and was actually pissed off at myself. Preparation is so much of the job that these guys do and all i tool pics of was the final product.

See if you can get in there behind the counter rather than just sitting at the table.

  2. Went to the Chefs Table for some grub... was not disappointed!!

I won't bore you with words... here are pics for everything we ate. Ill try to answer any questions you have but all in all Id say I loved the courses and the food AND I'd do it again even with the same menu. It was that tasty.

First was some Parmesan and Olives

  3. Lol this was what I told my sister in law who was dead set on Rhythms... I told her to google what time was sunset on the day were there. Her response was... so.. interested in a Rhythms of the Late Afternoon?? Hahaha If the sun isnt cooperating Las Caleta is always great fun.

  4. When I was a Bechtel brat being dragged all over the globe by my parents, my brother and I were lucky enough to have received flight logs for our trips (British Airways Junior Jet Club) We got to go see the Captain, sit in the co-pilot's seat, check out where they slept... very cool stuff for a kid on 10-15 hour flights. Back then, as a kid I explored every inch I could of a 747 during those long hours.

Looking back thru my JJC logbook and all its miles I remember what fun I had. Looking at cruising for the family I was thinking of my young daughters and wondering if anyone has heard of something like this being done on cruise vessels?? The flight version had Date - Craft Reg - From - To - Flt Number - # Miles - # Hours and the Captain Sig.

I think it would be a blast to go back and look at stuff the captain logged and wrote out the trip length, ports visited, weather and so on. Heck Im not all together sure what else might be a good thing to see.

Anywho... If no one has heard of something like this Im think Im going to to create something for the girls to log their voyages.

Thoughts on What should be a cruise log??

  5. Their version of a happy hour is a buck off a drink. Not exactly something to write home about

Just getting off of the Miracle on a Mex Riv itinerary... Buying drinks for the wife and I, I was offered $4 off if I made it a double... :D Yes... I partook of those regularly!!
