Haven't seen this addressed yet. Perhaps not the right forum. My wife and I, fully vaccinated, tested positive and come off quarantine tomorrow (1/16). We are scheduled to sail on 1/31. We are concerned that pre-cruise test results may come back positive, even though we will have been sufficiently recovered. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? if so, what was your outcome? Thanks in advance.

Please keep us posted. I am in a similar situation and want to see if you guys got to cruise!! I'm just off quarantine, scheduled to sail Feb 6.

Thanks everyone. It just seems like Carnival would go with what the cdc says, ya know?

I agree. I am in the same situation. Sailing 2/6 out of Galveston. Positive on 1/15/22. Symptoms stopped on 1/18, but still testing positive on home antigen test 1/23. Guess I will wait until just before to test, but having a hard time finding tests that aren't PCR, and those can be positive for up to 90 days. Everything from CDC says not contagious, but dang it if this cancels our cruise i'm gonna be upset. May work on getting a doctor's note of recovery also.

  3. Ok, here's a question I haven't seen asked yet. It seems like the consensus is that once you hit your 15, you are completely cut off. Not to sound like a lush, but on a sea day I can easily hit the 15 and not be drunk. Beer while hanging with the wife by the pool, drinks around dinner, then shows or comedy club till midnight is 10-12 hours of drinking. At 1-2 drinks per hour the 15 limit is really easy to hit. Now my question:::

Do drinks purchased because they are over the $10 limit count toward the limit? What I am looking at is on sea days just buying a bucket of beer when I first go up to the pool deck. This would not fall under Cheers because it is well over the $10. Also pitchers in the Red Frog? How do they count toward the 15?

I just don't want to hit a sea day where I am slowly but steadily drinking all day and when we go to watch a show or hit the comedy club, suddenly I am cut off because I hit the limit.

  4. Just returned two days ago from a 8 day cruise on the Breeze. I signed up for it the minute we got on the ship right at the lobby bar. We paid 49.95 plus the gratuities. No taxes. The taxes were only on per drink as you ordered the drinks ranged anywhere between 58 cents to 74 cents depending on how much your drink was. once we sailed away and were so many miles away from Miami we then paid no taxes at all. All the receipts you must sign and the total is $0. We definitely got our monies worth. Hubby and I went over the 15 drinks on two days. That is because when we ordered some drinks for example Margaritas or Pina Coladas we ordered shots of either Patron or Spiced Rum. so that counted as two. The bar tenders and waiters would bring both drinks at the same time but only bring one receipt then 5 minutes later would bring the 2nd receipt but we always got our drink and shot together at the same time. Also as far as the Specialty coffees go. If you order the specialty coffee with a shot of something for example Kahlua, Irish creme, Jamison, patron cafe etc then the coffee was included. strange but true. I had a daily routine, afternoon cappuccino with whipped creme and Irish Creme and after dinner espresso with patron cafe. It has only been two days and I miss it already lol. This was my experience on the Breeze. So for us it was worth every penny, and always ordered top shelf alcohol

So you were able to purchase drinks after hitting the 15 limit?
