Yes, I was booked on the Magnifica from Barcelona to Miami. leaving Barcelona May 3rd. That has now been cancelled, with MSC promising a full refund.

Terrific question.  While there are some excellent web sites/data bases owned/operated by a few major cruise agencies, we have never seen an App that does a competent job monitoring cruise line price cuts.  And the reality is that "price cuts" have become very complicated and usually involve more than simple price cuts.  We are in a ear of "smoke and mirrors" promotions.  So just consider a cruise line that has a "Sale" that includes various amenities (tips, drinks, etc) at a certain price.  A week later then end the promotion and offer a major drop in the price of the cruise, but while you are paying less, you are also getting a lot less.

One of our favorite cruise agencies has a booking engine where one can look at a specific cruise and actually see multiple deals (all on the same cruise) at different prices.  Even that data base may not show all the options.

To further complicate things, the cruise lines will often over value their perks and use that value as part of the price.  So, for example, you might have a cruise line that "includes" a drink package that is valued at $130 per person/day!  Very few cruisers will ever spend $130 a day on drinks over an entire cruise.  We think that the valuation of drink packages has become the biggest "con" in the cruise world.  Several years ago when all these drink packages started becoming the new norm, I went back and looked at more than a dozen of our prior cruises to find out just how much DW and I spent on drinks (we like adult beverages).  I discovered that our average was about $70 per day (total for the two of us) which was much less than I had expected.  Why?  We took advantage of Happy Hours, free drink perks (because of our status), and the amount spent on drinks during long port days was actually pretty minimal.   The cruise lines also did their own research, and for a while would not sell drink packages on Transatlantic cruises (because they knew that passengers would drink a lot more on all those sea days).

So, before even designing a data base to track price drops one would first need to clarify what constitutes a price drop.

@Hlitner can you possibly share that or email me?  my email is petdaycare@  aol   .  Many thanks...

No one needs to be on hold for 2 hours. 3 alternatives:

    1. I just email my CVP and she gets back to me in a few hours with the issues solved.

    2. I'm sure non- big box TAs can act on your behalf as well.

    3. But just in case you DIY -- there's the chat line.

Back in April 2020 I was stuck on hold. But not since restart, using my CVP, and accessing chat line. I have time but not temperance to be on hold more than 15 minutes. I'm not a very patient person

what chat line please?  they don't have a live chat that I could find and I googled it.  I'm in the USA.

You should not have to email. A customer service rep should be able to do this.  I would not call on the weekends. I would call 6 am Pacific time on Monday and ask for the customer resolution department. Explain the issue, if you have to, but ask to be transferred.

Did you try the chat line already?  Do you have a TA/CVP?  They may be able to help.

If you still want to email:

    customerrelations@princesscruises.com

I emailed customerrelations@princesscruises.com twice.  Finally yesterday I found someone after a 3 hour wait and it's been resolved.

  5. I am beside myself. I have spent literally hours with Princess this past week. My husband has two accounts that need to be merged with the correct number. One shows zero cruises. One shows 15. The one that shows zero is the one they merged it with. This should be so simple. 19 calls so far. If anyone has emails to share with someone that can actually rectify this, I would be grateful. They can't connect me to the IT Dept. Their account on Twitter cannot help me. Any "special" phone numbers or emails that can help would be appreciated. I am disgusted and beyond frustrated. I have always had the Premium Internet and never had any problems making calls from my iPhone using wifi calling and receiving calls.    I stay in contact via both sms and iMessage with no problems.  Facetime also works wells as well as WhatAPP.

I've also done Zoom meetings etc with only an occasional short time dead zone.   Once re-connected the messages came through.

So do you just purchase a package and turn off cellular date on the phone?  Many thanks.

  7. We will be disembarking a ship in London and then thinking of hopping on the Queen Mary back to NYC/Brooklyn.  What is the attire in the dining room?  We don't want to drag much formal wear with us.  Is a jacket okay for my husband without a tie?  For me, can I wear pants to dinner?  I also would like to know if there is a buffet somewhere for lunch/dinner.  Many thanks in advance.  Sonja
