Carnival has dropped the testing requirement for vaccinated passenger with some excepts starting sept2.

Got the denial email today 2 days out. Bidding on a spa mini from a mini our bid was 150 per person not enough I guess oh well mini here we come.

A Spa Mini-suite is the same "meta" as your current mini-suite, so you will have no opportunity to bid. For the purposes of bidding, you can ONLY bid on two "meta" levels above your own. Haven is the only meta that is broken down into separate categories. For the purposes of bidding, there is no distinction between a mini-suite and a spa mini-suite. People in ocean views and balconies can bid on the "mini-suite" meta, which includes spa mini-suites, mini-suites with large balconies, mid-ship mini-suites, etc. The bidding system just sees those as one big block (meta) called "mini-suite".

That’s not true we’re in a mini suite we have the opportunity to bid on a spa mini suite. They might just be collecting data but we have the opportunity to bid. We also have the opportunity to bid on the haven. Might depend on the ship who knows. This is for the 10/21 sailing of getaway.

OK. Going on the Getaway, so I'll need the new one.

 

Anyone out there familiar with the on board texting/calling feature? I hear the one on iConcierge was spotty and not worth the fee. Taking kids this time, so if the app works reliably for texting I may pay for that feature.

I’m with you seeing this is a new app I’m hoping someone will have a review of the text feature the grandkids will hate having to take there phones everywhere but it will make it so much easier to find them. So fingers crossed on a review.

Don’t know if your a CFB fan did you get a chance to see any games on board? We’re any been shown?

If you dock on time if you walk off if there’s no adverse traffic in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and the check in lines are short. Should be fine. If that’s a risk you comfortable with then go for the 12:30 if you wanna error on the side of safety go for the later flight. There are way to many unknowns to have any measure of confidence. Myself I always go with the later flight. But that’s just me.Miami is notorious for bad traffic you just never know plus it a Monday a workday. Plus that looks like the day after the thanksgiving holiday the airport could be a zoo with the late leavers from the holiday.Good luck whichever way you go!

Less than three weeks, I can't wait!!!! I'm NOT a drinker at all, but do plan to indulge on this trip. I have no idea what to order, everything sounds wonderful! Let's start with my first day's plan - what margarita(s) are a must-have at margaritaville?

 

And a very stupid question - DH cautions me about mixing booze. If I order two or three different types of margaritas is it a problem? I think all are tequila but they have other booz

Did your kids use the youth clubs if so did they like it. How about the ropes course or walk the plank our 11 year old is really interested in those features.

It’s visible in the general website but when you log in to your cruise and try to add to the cart to pay for it, the kids soda package isn’t an option. Gonna have to give them a call about that one.

Do kids under 13 get free sodas when the parents have the beverage package? I tried to see if there was a soda package but it was for 13 plus. This has I’m sure been asked before sorry about that.:)

80 days out exactly received the upgrade offer. Mini to Haven was all there was lowest starting bid was 750 per person. That’s a non starter for me oh well! We’ll still have a great cruise. Good luck to everybody else.:cool:

The captain just announced a minute ago the search has been called off by the USCG. We have turned around and are making 17.5kn NE back toward Miami. Position is Lat/Lon: 22.746040 / -84.433266. Captain still estimates arrival in Miami at 3pm.

The easiest way is just let the ship do it for you. As previous posters have said I believe the cost is 75 per person. You may be able to get the visa in your home country through the Cuban embassy, not sure if it would be any cheaper.

Like a previous poster said there is no normal weather in Boston. This year in early June a lot of days in the low sixties, but who knows you could get one of those 80s days also. Best bet is prepare for anything.
