I'm looking for the same.  i cannot seem to find much for 1/2 day or full day sails on a sailing cat.  I'm going in april. if see something when you are down there, please post what you see.

I'm not going until June. I still haven't found anything in online searches.

  2. Hello, I am sailing with a group of 12 people this summer to Nassau. We are interested in a private catamaran charter for about 4 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions? I one, but the prices are bit high because it looks like they cater to multi-day charters.

  3. I've been watching Panorama and today it docked at 5:56 am in Long Beach, but I don't have any info on when passengers actually started debarking. I wish Carnival would update the itinerary on their website if the ship is going to arrive earlier. I would feel more comfortable booking an earlier flight then.

I checked and you are the only ship at Long Beach. What bothers me is the 9:00 AM arrival.

It's hard to for me to believe that 9:00 is the arrival time even though it does show it on the schedule I looked at.

If this meant you would not be off until 9:00 AM I would not do it.

My suggestion is to ask about the arrival time on the Carnival Board or to check directly with the cruise line.

If you are off by say 8:00 AM this flight time will be fine.  If 9:00 as I mentioned I would not do it and I would look for a later flight.

Thank you Keith! I'd rather not stress at the end of the cruise, so I will look at other options. The ship sailed today for the first time, but the current cruise is scheduled to return at 7 am, so that won't be a good indicator.

  5. The new terminal is very nice. It's like sailing out of any port with separate areas for boarding and disembarking passengers. It's an escalator ride and a walk across the gangway now, no bus ride. You pull up right in front of the building to drop your bags and then park. There is a short 2 min bus shuttle from the parking area to the terminal. I sailed once with the old terminal and once with the new one and it is a nice difference. Since I was there in June they opened a parking garage, so parking should be closer to the terminal now too.

  6. I read up on the thread dedicated to this topic, but I have a few other questions. I want to hire a private driver for a day for 4 people.

    1. Can someone recommend a good blue flag taxi driver with a vehicle that comfortably holds 4 passengers. We don't want 3 people stuck in the back seat!

    2. Does anyone know the 2016 rates for the blue flag taxis?

    Thanks!

  7. It's about a $500 cost difference which, while not insignificant, is not a huge amount in the overall scheme of the trip. I am not claustrophobic (have cruised in many an inside cabin!) while my husband has done both oceanview and balcony so either is fine for him.

redjetz, can you recall what side of the ship is facing the gangway? Or does it even matter for balcony views?

It's difficult to predict whether the port or starboard side will face with the dock. The view is fine either way though. If facing the dock, you will see the dockyard with the fort, old jail, shops and transportation. If you are facing the other direction you will have a nice view of some of Bermuda across the sound.

  8. Hi, I can't find the answer to this question anywhere. I would like to book 4 people in a Haven 2-Bedroom, but the 3rd and 4th person rate is very high. Is it possible to book 2 in the 2-Bedroom and 2 in a cheaper cabin, then move those 2 into the 2-Bedroom once onboard?

  9. A book of 15 tickets is $37.50 . The Hamilton ferry terminal is open until 8 pm on weekdays, the main bus terminal in Hamilton until 7 pm.

The tickets are good on both ferries and buses.

Thank you! That was the exact information I was looking for.

  10. Can someone please tell me the cost of ferry tickets and the latest I can buy them on a Wednesday night in Hamilton?

My plan is to use token to get to Hamilton then buy tickets to get back to the Dockyard and have for the rest of the stay.

  11. rcoaster809 - Thank you for your insight! I think you've helped seal the deal. :)

Excellent! I hope you have a great time!

I agree with the others that the sleeping arrangements and the bathroom are the two biggest concerns. They turned out to be non-issues for us though. The roll away made the sleeping arrangements more comfortable and good use of the vanity area in the bedroom helped people move through the bathroom faster.

  12. Last year I did a B2B on the Imagination out of Miami. The first leg we were docked with the starboard side facing the port and for the second leg the port side was facing the port and we had to use the turning basin before sailing. When we came back the starboard side was again facing the terminal. It is difficult to predict how the ship will dock.
