  1. I did not go through Carnival. We were on the Dream, which does not have a chapel, so we used the Library next to the Dining Room. I planned everything for our celebration on the first formal night. The only cost was for the posed pictures afterwards and the cake that was delivered to our table at dinner that night. A few people came into the Library during our service, and quickly left once they became aware of what we were doing. It was beautiful and personal, and not expensive. Blessings on your Anniversary.

  2. We had a private renewal in the library last October. Our SIL read the Oder of Service, our DD read a scripture, and two grandchildren lead the Lord's Prayer. I wore a long (Pippa style) cream dress, DH wore casual slacks & shirt. We posed for pictures, ate lobster for dinner and had 2 special cakes sent from friends. Perfectly romantic and personal, with no additional cost. Best wishes for your special day.

  3. Why not write up your own renewal vows? Find a quiet spot on some outside deck and at sunset say your vows. Reconnect with each other and enjoy being. Be sure to let the HD know that you are doing a renewel and they might send up a comp. cake!

Its a heck of a lot cheaper, and you can still splurge and go to the steakhouse afterwards.

We gathered before dinner in the Library on the Dream, I had put together an Order of Service which our SIL read, our DD read a verse from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and grands led the Lord's Prayer. Ordered a beautiful cake for dinner in the MDR, posed for pictures in the Lobby, and saw a show. I wore a simple wedding dress, hubby and family wore casual attire. We received a bottle of wine and gifts from the CD from John Heald. Perfect evening with my beautiful husband of 30 years. Blessings on your anniversary.

  4. Sorry to hear of your bad experience in the MDR. My darling husband & I celebrated our 30th Anniversary on the Dream Oct. 5-12, 2013. We renewed our vows with our daughter & her family in the library as the Dream does not have a chapel. We had excellent service every night in the Crimson Dining Room from Joseph and his team - Romeo & Ikea. You can request a special table & waiter, and the only time we had to wait for our table was on the last night of the cruise. The food was wonderful, they treated us like family and we were very pleased with our entire trip. Love the Dream!!
