also doing the Shark Dive and Big Island Snorkel....can't wait!!!
Who are you doing the shark dive thru?

If I have already paid GET Tax on my invoice, will I be charged again on the ship? I realize it is not a large amount, but I am getting conflicting information [NCL TA is saying no, boards and FB say yes]

Your photos are great! Did the boxes of water come in the cabin or did you order?

How are the 3rd/4th beds set up on Pride of America balcony rooms. Just got an upgrade offer but my kids CANNOT share a bed

I’m planning a kayak trip during our Kona stop. I need to get from the port to Keauhou Bay. Has anyone used Uber and are there advantages or disadvantages vs a taxi? TIA
-
Does this mean an additional 20% is added to every alcoholic beverage ordered in port?!?

no longer rent cars in Maui
How do you get around without a rental car?

Are there vendors offering excursions at the port in Ocho Rios? NCL changed our itinerary again and I am not seeing anything that we want to book ahead. NCL probably won’t list anything until we are aboard the ship since we leave in 13 days!

Have you looked at TripAdvisor? You have to take all reviews with a grain of salt, but I generally find they are quite balanced on that website

MB to DRF is ruffly 45 nautical miles.
If the boat averages 15 knots - not bad speed for a sail boat -
the trip is 3 hours (each way)
Oh wow. I wasn’t expecting it to be that long. Thanks for posting!

Has anyone done a catamaran trip from Montego Bay to Dunn’s River Falls? Anything I can find is either a drive to Ocho Rios or not for cruise ship passengers.
-
I’m frustrated looking for a unique excursion from MoBay. We hoped to do Blue Hole and Dunn’s but the 2+ hour drive is not appealing. For that reason, I would choose Ocho Rio

Have you found anything? I’m looking for ATV or side-by-side tours for December

Hi, We will be in great stirrup cay next week and wondered whether there were sun umbrellas to hire or any shade anywhere. Is there a certain better spot on the island to head for if you need shade.
Grateful for any info in advance has we havent been before and we are cruising with NCL and the only options to pre book on the excursions are villas or cabanas at mega bucks.4
Did you find a shady spot at GSC? We’re there in December

Looking at the Best Western Cocoa Beach for pre and post cruise hotel. Is there a shuttle to MCO and the port? is there a cost? TIA

We spent the day at Tropicana. I can’t wait to go back to Costa Maya just to hang out on the beach. Took the open air thingy ($2 each) and got dropped off a block from the beach. Tropicana had good beer and food prices. Beach was great and calm with fish swimming around. Staff at Tropicana took us to specific stores when we asked about items (I was looking for a pharmacy, MIL for silver jewelry).

Anyone know if the Riu Emerald Bay had different prices for kids day passes?

How far of a walk is it to Lettys? One person in our group has difficulty walking long-distance but a few blocks are OK..
Also, I am not sure that I am understanding....When we get off the water taxi there will be a tractor/wagon that will take us to the beach? So I am assuming that when we get to the beach we then walked to Lettys, is that correct?
If I remember correctly, it’s not a short stroll from the port to Stone Island. Nor to a beach restaurant with tables, ect. I’d be nervous with someone who has difficulty walking.

We use a mifold booster seat. It folds up and can fit in a backack or carry on. My boys say it's not extremely comfortable but is very convenient for travel. http://www.mifold.com

I had 20, 17 and 15 year olds with me. We did the Marriott. This week. There was also a kid splash area, your kid might like it or it might be too “little” for them. The pool has a volleyball net we used. We grabbed a taxi van from the dock. Paid 550 pesos per person and were credited back 450 towrds food and drinks. I would recommend it highly for a resort day.
Perhaps getting a quote on the taxi ride first, we got screwed. Maybe heading out of the gate and finding a taxi on the road as opposed to those in the tender area. It was convenient. $20 for the ride, the most expensive ride by far that day.
did you pre book your day pass?

We were at Tropicante last week. I can’t recommend it enough. Steve was around and we chatted. He is a wealth of information. Beer was cheap, food delicious, beach amazing. Best day of the cruise!

How easy is it to catch a shuttle or van at the Julia Street Cruise Port? We are a family of six, so a regular cab is not an option. Trying to decide if I should book a shuttle and be locked into a meeting time or "wing it".

We did this with our two young children a couple years age. We did not feel the AI option was worth the cost. And we took a cab (which was super easy)

Just looked at Radical's calendar for 24 Oct, states they have 6 from "Carnival" with "room for more to join." Have you contacted them? It is my understanding that they will "mix" passengers from other ships.

I've talked to them twice. Both times they said they wouldn't mix groups :(

Hilo Port

just to clarify, the free transport bus stops at the Hilo airport? We need to pick up our rental car there.
