  1. This is my first RCI cruise.  I am excited to sail on the Symphony of the Seas in May 2022!

I am debating on if I should spend the money on the 3 Night Dining package?  Do you think the included dining options are sufficient, or do you think its worth spending a little extra for the other restaurants?   Right now they are offering $92.99(on sale) per adult for this package.  Is this a good deal, or have you seen a better price?

I have been on a few Carnival Cruises.  Symphony has WAY more food options then I am use to.  I was satisfied with what I got on Carnival.

I am just wondering other peoples experiences with the including dining vs the pay.

    TIA

  2. Hi,

I plan on sailing in March of 2022 (March 26th to be exact)

So I was just trying to peek at hotels to book the day before we set sail out of Miami.  All the good hotels downtown are booked alread.  I was like wait what?

So I did some searching to see what was going on that weekend. Well turns out the Ultra Music festival is that same weekend (Oh Great!)

So where should we stay?  We are flying into FLL and was hoping to stay in Miami.  Should I just opt to stay in FLL now instead?  I will have younger family members with me so I prefer something more family friendly.  Any hotel recommendations would be helpful!

    Thanks!

  3. I have a hard time understanding why some people are so concerned about what other people do on their vacations.

For me it’s to stay connected with my child who is staying at home with her aunt. I want to check in with her.

  4. This will be my 5th Cruise and the first time on a smaller ship. I keep reading posts about people really feeling the boat move more in comparison to the larger boats. These are all recent reviews so I suspect it’s the time of year and rough sea? We are traveling the end of April and based on the last few cruises the weather has been fantastic. So the question is will I need to worry about getting sea sick on this ship because it’s older and smaller.

  5. Has anyone done a tour of Nassau and can recommend the company they used? There are a few different ones out there. I’m interested in other peoples experience.

  6. I got an upgrade call to the spa balcony deck for my last cruise! I was excited because it was my first balcony. All was great until about 4AM when they clean the deck and throw the deck chairs around. It will wake you up out of a sound sleep. Bang bang bang!

  7. How about a thread telling cruisers where not to stay. I was just on the Carnival Triumph, room 8410, below the back of the lido - pool deck. I didn't think it would be too bad, as usually the rear pool bar closes early at night. My room was near the 24 hour pizzeria. DON'T STAY IN THIS AREA. Due to the wooden deck, you will hear chairs and tables being moved between 11 pm and 5 am while you are attempting to sleep. It's constant. It seemed at 4:45 AM the staff was cleaning this area. One night they had a private party at the rear pool area, a dj started at 11 pm and it went until 3 am. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM you get the picture. On the other hand, being just one deck below the pools and buffet was nice. Just take a sleeping pill like I did every night.

Where are other places to avoid?

I had this happen on my last cruise stayed right under this area and the throwing around of the deck chairs woke me up out of a sound sleep every night at 4 am. Won’t stay in that area again! I thought I was getting a good deal with the upgrade fairy moved me from an ocean view to a balcony room. Lol now I know why! No one wants these rooms!

  8. We were just in Grand Turk a few days ago on the Carnival Conquest, I reserved with Wet Money 4 1/2 months ago and followed up with several emails, all the responses said we were reserved and set, no issues. When we got there this week he didn’t have all the carts we reserved, he said he instead rented them to other people that were staying in the island. I would be cautious reserving with them.

I’m going to pissed if this happens when we go in April. I just reserved with them. Why bother taking a reservation if your not going to honor it.

  9. So I was playing around to see if there were any price drops in my cruise. I did a search and put in my VIFP number and got the price. Then just for the heck of it I opened up another window and put in my mother’s VIFP number and she got a lower price. (She isn’t sailing on my upcoming cruise) I wonder if they would honor her price over mine [emoji848]

  10. I think it all depends. The past two cruises we had YTD and I felt that my service was mediocre and sometimes not really good at all. Sometimes it took a really long time to get our food like we were almost forgotten about. My cruise coming up we chose set dining and hope maybe we will get better service. There really is pros and cons to both YTD and assigned dinner time.
