  1. Which hotels does Regent use for pre-cruise prior to embarkation?  I am noticing that most flights traveling from the western U.S. to New York City JFK come in rather late in the day and our sailing time on the day of embarkation is 6 p.m

Does Regent schedule their passenger flights for arrival on the  day of sailing or the day before under these circumstances..

  2. We will be on the Regent Explorer Cape Town to Cape Town cruise on December 22nd and staying at the Westin Hotel post cruise.  What is the best way to

arrange for a taxi from the Duncan Dock to the hotel?  Will Regent staff be willing to arrange this for us?

  3. Thank you Flossie and Vitacura for keeping the focus on positivity! We will definitely post our impressions of our cruise on the Navigator in May and June. We know the ship has many loyal followers and we enjoy a smaller ship experience. More importantly we like the Regent itineraries.

Reading the comments of Regent travelers who have been on board provides important information to us about their experiences and impressions. The comments made by all posters are just that and I believe should never be subject to ridicule.

  4. I agree it is appalling that there are no suitable chairs in the living area and concerns expressed about storage space in the Navigator suites. If Regent wants to be considered a six star line they best heed the opinions of those who spend more for a "luxury" experience.

Our first trip on Regent will be in May on the the Navigator. Based on what I have been reading thus far about the refurbishment nightmare it will more than likely be our last trip on Regent.

  5. Thanks for the update Vitacura! I guess the subliminal message from Regent is don't plan on eating in your suite and don't invite any guests over since there is not enough seating.

Would love hearing from Regent on why they thought it was important to remove the chairs!

  6. So without chairs where are you supposed to sit if they serve dinner course by course or if you order room service? Sitting on the bed and using deck chairs is not an option for us. Storage is an important factor in any suite regardless of the ship. Are they expecting us to use the closet for all storage?

    What were they thinking???

  7. Thank you TravelCat2 for clarifying that for us. I'm with you...and will not plan to leave any on board credit on the table! We have enjoyed your commentary on the board and appreciate your advice and comments.

    Best Regards and Safe Travels.

  8. Hello:

My husband and I will be flying out of Lisbon to Paris on Air France on a 6 a.m. flight from Lisbon. Can you please advise us on when we need to be at the airport for this early flight? Also we will be flying Sky Priority...and would appreciate knowing what procedures we must follow when we arrive at the airport for departure. Thank you for your assistance.

    Best Regards,
