  1. We are flying to IAH on Thanksgiving day this year for our cruise departing on the Friday after. Will the food and shops all be open at the airport on a holiday? We are staying at the Marriott at the airport and will not have a car, so hoping to be able to eat and do a little shopping at the airport.

  2. What is your sail date? What is your hotel budget?

It's a long drive. Typically we recommend that folks look for a hotel in the Parsipanny, NJ area, which is about 45-60 minutes out of New York. This gets you off the road in a nice suburban area with less expensive hotels, restaurants, and services before you hit the NY metro traffic. The next morning you wait until after rush hour to drive across the George Washington Bridge and down the Henry Hudson Parkway/West Side Highway to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. This route has no real driving on local streets in Manhattan.

We are sailing Sunday, September 10. We would like to pay around $100 a night if possible. Thanks again, appreciate all suggestions!

  3. We are driving from Akron, Ohio to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in September. We plan to drive to New Jersey the day before and spend the night at a hotel, and then drive and park at the port the next morning. What would be the closest New Jersey hotel to the Manhattan port that would be the easiest drive into Manhattan the next morning? Thanks so much!
