Looking forward to reading your report. We are going on this cruise next July with my son and his family. Have a great trip!
-
Thank you for your report. My daughter and her family are on this cruise. They are from Arizona and we’re very excited to go.

Oh, I am so excited to read about this trip! I have read all your other live reports and have loved them. You do such a wonderful job!

OP good luck and I hope you make it. I am currently sitting in the Nashville airport waiting for my flight to FLL. Hope to see you on the Silhouette tomorrow!
-
Thank you so much for taking the time from your vacation to do this review. 3 weeks and we will be heading to Ft. Lauderdale to get ready to board the Silhouette and we cannot wait!
This summer as you are walking around at home and you see a wonderful artist named Pattee Durkin say hi to her, she is my amazing cousin!

Now, being from Cape Cod could you please give me your opinion on the Lobster Roll at the Porch? It looks kind of chopped up, not like a true lobster roll. My husband would be so disappointed if I made reservations there and he didn’t get a real New England style roll!

My husband and I were on the Allure in October. We were given a Grand Suite, booked a JS gty. The cabin was great and we were very happy we had access to the Coastal Kitchen for all meals and the suite lounge. Never stepped foot in the MDR or the Winjammer. We did eat in Chops 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Would we sail on it again, no. It was just too big for us and we missed the smaller venues for music and things did feel too crowded.
We are in our early 60s and enjoy the solarium, but did not enjoy the one on the Allure. The loungers were not comfortable and the pool was way too small. I am glad we tried it, but we love what we get with Celebrity.

Just saw the picture you posted on Facebook with the rainbow! What a beautiful picture!

Loving your review! We have to agree about NCL. Gave them 3 tries, all Haven, and never again. Love Celebrity and the product they provide.
Enjoy your cruise. I am looking forward to reading more.

Following from Lakeville, MA - doing Ultimate next year on Reflection. Have a great time.
Oh wow! My husband and I lived in Raynham for years! He was a a police officer there until he retired! Small world.

Yes, Mike and I actually live in Provincetown. Lobster Pot is also one of our favorites. [emoji846]

Love it there! My cousin, Pattee is an artist and is very involved in the community there. She is such a wonderful free spirit who I adore!
My husband and I are on the February 18th sailing, so I am really looking forward to your review! Have a great time.

Looking forward to reading your review! I am originally from MA, but moved to TN 5 years ago to be closer to my grandchildren. I miss the Cape and good seafood. My cousin has a hotel in Truro and we loved eating at the Lobster Pot in PTown!

I called because I have a cruise booked for 2019 on the Silhouette and I actually saved $300 on my cruise. I was pretty happy with that!

We just stayed at the Renaissance on 17th and will be staying there again in February for our Silhouette cruise. It was so close to the port. Walgreens was across the street and close to restaurants. Loved the hotel too.

Our final day on the Allure is here. We are at sea. While we have enjoyed the cruise very much, Jim and I have decided mega ships are not for us. They are just too big. We enjoy the intimacy of a smaller ship. We do enjoy the being on the Liberty of the Seas also.
Now, my take on Allure. I loved being in the Grand Suite. The ability to enjoy the Coastal Kitchen, was the best perk ever. We enjoyed our meals there and met some wonderful people in the lounge up there also. We spoke with many pinnacle members and never felt like they were talking down to us. We also dined in Chops twice, great service and food. Samba grill was picked by my husband and he regretted his decision, as did I.
The concierges, Nancy and Dexter were fantastic and went out of their way to help with everything. Yes, this is what they get paid for, but they truly enjoy their jobs and it shows. They are so friendly and greet everyone by name and with a smile.
This is all my opinion and we will sail on Royal again, got our very heavy paper weight gift for our Diamond Plus on this cruise, just not on their mega ships.
Our next cruise is in February on the Celebrity Silhouette. We have been on that ship many times and enjoy it quite a bit.

Drink card available today and it is $85 for 10 drinks.

Day 5 we are at sea today. It is a little rough today and cloudy. We ate in Coastal Kitchen last night and once again it was delicious. I had the salmon and the piece was a good size and very flaky. I cannot say enough about the servers up there. They are all fantastic and very friendly. I just love Nancy and Dexter too. They are always there with a smile and ready to answer any question and ask about your day.
Does not look like it will be a very nice day today so, I think it is going to be a reading and relaxing day. I have not seen any signs for a drink card, maybe today.

Do you get invites in your Cabin for the sail away? I wonder if Diamond would be included?!
The invite was in our cabin on boarding day. It was awesome.

Day 4 is Jamaica, once again we are staying on the ship to enjoy the solarium and what the Allure has to offer. Yesterday Jim had a massage and enjoyed it. Dinner last night was in Chops and we both really loved our meals. I had the Caesar salad and rack of lamb with the apple pie for dessert. The lamb was cooked a perfect medium and the flavor was delicious. Jim had 2 shrimp cocktails and the New York strip. He said the steak was so flavorful he could eat another one! He, too had the apple pie for dessert. We are eating there again on Thursday evening.
Tonight we will dine in Coastal Kitchen. We have the headliner show tonight. We are really enjoying our trip. Every crew member we have come in contact with has been very friendly and greeted us. We are impressed with all the ship has to offer, but I don’t think we are mega ship people. We still have a few more days to enjoy this beautiful ship and all it has to offer. I will say, it does not seem crowded.
-
Day 3 we are in Labadee. We have stayed on the ship since we have been here many times. Jim is getting a massage today and I have been exploring. Last night dinner was in Samba Grill, not my choice, Jim’s! Bad choice! Went to the comedy show last night and the 2 comedians were hilarious. We laughed the entire time.
Chops is dinner tonight and I am really looking forward to it. We have been invited to the sail away on the helipad at 4pm today and are planning on attending. Will try to post more later. I am still on the watch for the drink card.

I downloaded Speed Test and and results were as follows, download 3.82mb/ps, upload 1.98/s and speed 196 ms. It said grade F slower than 87% of US!

Will be following this closely as we will be on Allure November 26 [emoji846].
Let us know if you attend any shows and how are they ?
What islands are you doing and how they look ?
Also if you go to any bars to post the drinks menu if you can.
Following this with so much interest.
Sea ya
Thanks in advance

We have seen Ocean Aria and it was amazing. Went to the comedy show tonight and both comedians were very funny. We are doing the Western route and will be staying on the ship. We have been to these ports several times and plan on using the time to explore the ship. Neithe my husband nor I are drinkers, so I will not be visiting any bars, but I will try to get some pictures for you on my tour of the ship.

Thank you but was looking for something more objective like the actual download speed and latency (ping) from an app like Speedtest.
Sorry, I am not tech savvy enough to give yo that answer.
