  1. Keith,

Where do those of us who have booked/paid in full for canceled cruises, and who have flights, visas, and hotels set up, find the information you have access to? I wish Crystal would inform those of us on these cruises what is going on. Not a great feeling to find out cruisers who aren't even on these cruises have information we are not privy to.

  2. The premium dessert thing is so crazy. Was on Sky TA abd had 2 of those ic desserts, really just wanted a few spoonfuls of gelato. Gave the ic maker $5 each time b/c the thing is so absurd. In what world would someone eat 2 of them a day? You can have them shove an unopened nip of Absolute in the top, too, because who doesn't chase an ic sundae w/ vodka?🤓

    Absolutely bonkers.

Hmm, imagine 500 kids on board. 50% get the dessert. Pity the poor crewmember who has to make 250 of the diabetic bombs.

  3. I'm also onboard. There was a great 10 min video by Captain on our tv midmorning. He'd be an excellent science teacher, seriously. He explained weather patterns, low pressure systems, etc very well.

Maybe my fellow passengers who are not happy with the $100 OBC that Princess was not obligated to offer, should stand firm and refuse it. After all, it's not about money, it's the principle, right.😉

Me? I'm making room in my luggage for the jacket I just bought in the shops.

  4. Thanks, lots of good info. I so wish it weren't the case, but I'm afraid what pathi said might be true:

I plan to buy more at 15$. Everything will probably be on sale the next few days.

Benefiting at the expense of others is never a good feeling for me but the state of this world today... :classic_sad:

    .

  5. I have been watching the CCL stock price. With Covid slowly ending, and masks becoming less of a issue, I expected a bump up in CCL stock price. Nope.

    CCL Stock

    5 year return: -60%

    3 year return: -64%

    1 year return: -23%

Schwab has it as a solid "F" - the lowest grade it gives out. Those quarterly dividends were great until they went away, but wow, you have cruise an awful lot each year (for $100-$250 obc) to come out ahead.

Quarterly earnings are due out 4/6/22, but looks like that will be nothing to look forward to.

I've slipped on my armor, I'm prepared for the attacks. Have at me😉😄

  6. Thanks to all for for your answers. For the convenience alone (my cabin is one deck above IC)  I'll buy the 15 coffee program when I get onboard, even if I don't drink anything but black. For $40 for the entire 16 days I'll consider it my "all the black coffee from the IC that you can drink in 16 days" card. 😄

  7. I drink black coffee. Does the IC charge for that? If they do I'll buy a coffee card. I don't imagine there's much difference between the price of a "card" purchased in advance vs onboard. The 15 drink "card" is less than $40, fine by me. I know coffee is avail other spots on board but from reading posts I get the feeling the IC has the best coffee on the ship.  I do not have any sort of drinks package - booze or otherwise, by choice. I'm happy to pay as I go for alcohol, and I don't drink soda.

  8. We're booked on Sky transatlantic leaving March 12 from Florida to UK. Is it off-base to expect 50% pax capacity? For those sailing Princess now, do you have an idea how many pax are on your cruise?  Of course, with all things Covid changing at lightening speed, today's pax figures won't reflect next months numbers. Still, it's only 19 days before we leave so I'm curious how full the ships are. That will give us an idea what to expect. I'll admit it, I'm selfishly hoping to experience Sky with fewer passengers than usual.

  9. I'm confused. Do I have this right?

Drop and Go is just the cruise, no extras.

Princess Plus is cruise plus unlimited drink/coffee/soda package, 1 wifi use, and gratuities.

There's something called a Standard Package and it's what, exactly?

(Drop and Go) Pax can buy a 15-fancy coffee "ticket" either on board or before. Slight discount if purchased before. Plain coffee is included and not counted toward the 15 total limit.

(Drop and Go) Pax can buy internet (1 or 4 device) either on board or before. Slight discount if purchased before.

Pax can buy a drink package on board or before. Either soda/etc or alcohol- and the alcohol package also includes soda/coffee/fancy coffee. Slight discount if purchased before.

Does International Cafe charge for plain cup of coffee?

  10. Is it possible to get money from the casino and have it charged to our cabin account? I don't want to bring too much $ with me. We like to gamble a bit and hope that we can get money from/for the casino and charge it to our onboard account. I don't want to get involved with cash advances, ATMs, etc. We spend maybe $100/day, certainly not more.

  11. Super. You guys are great. I think the internet pricing is more than fair, and I see a few sweet spots in the wine listings, even among wines by the glass.

Do you think it's okay to use a mini clothes steamer? My husband and I are challenging ourselves to packing v v light. I can do it but I'd love to get the wrinkles out of my bound-to-be overstuffed carryon.

By the way we've done TA the last two years at this time/April (Crystal) and it was shorts and pool weather often. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks.

  12. Greetings,

My husband and I have cruised quite a bit but never on HAL. I did a search but didn't find answers specific to Eurodam.

Is there an ironing room anywhere? I know we'll have shirts/dresses that need a touch-up before wearing. I understand about the laundry package and we'll do that but I don't want to wait 24-36hrs when all an outfit needs is a quick iron.

I cancelled all our specialty reservations after reading that HAL sometimes has issues when it comes to having the reservation and proof of purchase in their computer systems onboard. We'll play it by ear and if it's all booked, well, we'll survive. We're booked for the late seating and wonder if that might work in our favor when it comes to specialty dining.

Does HAL have a reserve wine list?

I've read that HAL has lecturers but where would I find that info prior to the cruise?

Internet is unpredictable and expensive on any cruise but does anyone know if there's a spot on the Eurodam that might be best for pulling a strong signal?

    Thanks in advance.
