  1. We will be taking a cruise Oct 9th out of Quebec and can fly into any city in Canada (probably Toronto to go to Niagra falls) 10 days early. We have never been to Canada and would like to know where you suggest we go? Knowing what you do, what would be your itinerary? I'm fine with big cities and scenic views and would like a mixture of both.  I don't mind renting a car or taking train travel which would you suggest. We would fly in on a Tuesday September 29th with the cruise leaving on Friday the October 9th. Thanks in advance for all those that reply, I look forward to your suggestions.

  2. A warning to all who are considering this tour. They advertise the boat as being a Catamaran and they do have Catamaran's, however, they also use what is a glorified ferry as well. This is a small boat that has one row on the left and one row on the right with little to no movable room in between. When booking I was seeing what was being advertised in photos as being the catamaran we would get, but what we got was described above. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

  3. We wanted to try the new luggage program, but I can't get a confirmation on NCL from Pier 66.

We will be taking lite rail to our hotel pre cruise, but I'm not sure I wanted to risk it going back to the airport from Pier 66. I might opt for the taxi as to not have to wait for the shuttle to fill. Are taxies fairly easy to come by early in the morning during debarkation?

  4. We are cruising the NCL Pearl in a few days and I would like to know the options available getting back to Sea Tac. Ship docks at 8am and our flight is at noon. We are planning on walking off, so with that being said, should we take a cab or shuttle? I want to be economical, but also want to make sure we make it on time. Where are the shuttle and cab stands located and what can we expect to pay for two coming from Pier 66?

    Thanks for the help

  5. Been on four NCL cruises and 15 RCL cruises. Last NCL cruise was June of last year last RCL was February of this year.

Food is important to me on a cruise and there in NO comparison between the two lines. NCL is well known for not having great food unless you go to their pay resturants. Whereas RCL's food is top notch in any of their sit down resturants, should you want to specialty dine or not.

I also find the entertainment to be better on the RCL line than NCL. I've tried to give NCL three different chances to win me over, but I just can't find something I like better on their line than Royal's, so it RCL for me.

  6. We did go into the liquor store, but we didn't buy any wine (we already had some with us), although they have a nice selection of wine. We did however notice that you could buy the smaller bottles of alcohol (and in some cases depending on who you got in checkout) even the mid size bottles of alcohol to bring on the ship. The larger size bottle they bagged and would have sent to the room via the ship after the cruise.
