  1. We were just on the Emerald in December. The court is extremely small. You have to step into the court to serve. Only a few people playing so not an issue getting to play. The biggest problem was the extreme wind we had every day. Playing was a challenge!

  2. In this case, everyone is correct. Guadeloupe is basically two islands,  Basse Terre and Grande Terre, the first being flatter and more developed and the second more mountainous! And Basseterre is a town

    on St Kitts.

  3. The buffet is divided into two parts, Calumet and Manitou. If you do not mind walking to the very back on Manitou, you will have the most amazing view over the back of th ship . We were always able to find seating in this area!

If your cabin is located in the aft section of the ship, using the aft elevators will take you up in between the two buffet areas.

  4. There is an external staircase on both the port and starboard sides aft . There is a large area on each deck where the stairs are. Our inside cabin was located near this Area and we enjoyed using this area to see what was going on outside and for sailaways and arrivals. Usually, there was no one else there. If only we had a few chaises, it would have been a perfect spot away from everyone else!

  5. The Divina was our 5th cruise, all the others on American cruise lines. Was ii perfect? No. Was it fabulous? Yes. We loved the ship, the food, the entertainment, the people ,the fun! The small things that were not perfect were minor and did not spoil our trip. I have never had a perfect cruise on any cruise line and some were not nearly as good as the Divina. But we just accept it as the way things go and still enjoy ourselves . And we feel th MSC Divina cruise was our best ever especially considering the price we paid! Will definitely cruise MSC again. Go with the flow and enjoy the real Italian food and you will, have a great time.

  6. I am sailing with a group of eight on the April 26th Transatlantic. We would like to be seated together in the dining room.

    1. Are there tables large enough to seat eight?

    2. Which is better, the upper or lower level?

    3. Do you know how they assign people to their table?

    Thanks in advance.

We were seated at a table for 8 in Upper Black Crab. We were near the railing looking down below and thought it a great table.

  7. We were able to get ice water in the buffet all day and at dinner in the Black Crab. In addition, there is lemonade, iced tea and a variety of juices in the buffet at least until mid afternoon. Later on , it seemed to be just the water, tea and coffee available. All were free. This is all assuming you are sailing in the Caribbean . I understand it is different in the Med.

We also brought on board 4 bottles of water to use for excursions.

I think the mineral water in the cabin was 2-3 dollars for a large bottle. We didn't drink it so not 100% sure.

you could drink the tap water, too.

  8. You can get a continental breakfast delivered for free after 6 am. So I think you could just get coffee. There is a card in the cabin that you fill in and I think you put it on your door handle. Never did it so not 100% sure. MSC states that tipping is not recommended for services above the prepaid gratuities.

  9. Yes. Garibaldi is under Centrale and is where the train to Sorrento leaves from. We took the hydrofoil to Capri and then another ferry to Sorrento and then the Circumvesuviana back to Naples. And walked back to the ship. Very easy!
