Suzy Q is my girl. I have sailed many times with her. Most recently on the Anthem where she works the Music Hall. Not sure where she is currently.
I was on the Anthem two weeks ago. Suzy Q is still there!! She tends bar in the Old Michael's Pub (Book and Bock /Bock and Book???)

I know that the first formal/elegant night on the 9 night Anthem cruise is the 2nd night. For the life of me, I can't remember, for sure, when the second formal/elegant night is. Is it on night seven (once we leave Labadee) or is it on night eight (sea day). Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi... may I ask you please, when was the 2nd formal night?

Someone posted the most recent cruise compasses, the bands will be listed in there.
Thanks.... I had looked through them and couldn't find a tribute band listed. Not sure if that's because it was a 5 night cruise. I'll be taking a 9 night, so I'm hopeful there will be one. Saw the U2 tribute band last summer... they were wonderful!

Can anyone tell me what tribute band is currently on Anthem of the Seas? Also, do you know if they will be on until, at least, the end of the month?
Thank you for any/all information.

I've found that the website works best when:
-
I use something other than Google Chrome
-
I DO NOT log onto their site... instead, i just click "already booked" and then click "online check-in"
-
and lastly, if all else fails, I clear my "cookies" before doing everything else.
Good luck!!

Thanks for all the great information everyone!! Truly appreciated!!

Thanks Bob.... I, along with so many others, really appreciate your dedication to getting the correct information out there on the boards! You're a gem!!

I posted this on the Caribbean Private Island Board, but no one has answered.... thought I'd try here: I'm leaving in about 2 1/2 weeks on the Anthem. One of our stops is at Labadee. I was reading that Columbus Cove now has about 8 cabanas for rent. I have never rented a cabana on any of the private islands, so I have a few questions. I would appreciate any information you could offer. I assume the cabanas are rented at a set cost, not per person - is this correct? Is there a limit to the amount of family members that could have access to it? Do you have any idea of the cost of a cabana at Columbus Cove (it's not available in my cruise planner)? Also, since the cruise is so close, do you think they've all been rented or do they save some to be rented once on the ship? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I never book anything. If I feel like going to a show, I go into the "standby" line... have never NOT gotten into a show. I show up for My Time Dining whenever I feel like eating. Have never waited more than half a hour. Don't stress out... just do whatever you want, when you want. Just be prepared to wait a little bit and just go with the flow.

I thoroughly enjoyed your entire review. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it.... you have a real flare for writing!!

NO, they are not allowed.

Tip: We found out you have to choose an arrival time when you do online check-in for Cape Liberty. I recommend you complete your online checkin early to ensure an early arrival time, should you so desire.
Just an FYI.... it doesn't matter what time you've chosen to check in online. Cape Liberty doesn't enforce any "check in time" rule. You can arrive whenever you want to and get checked in right away.

Congratulations!! I just made Platinum too!! My first Platinum cruise will be in 35 days on Anthem of the Seas!!

The Anthem is currently my favorite ship. I"ve sailed on her twice already and have another two cruises booked aboard her for this summer (one goes south, the other goes north). I LOVE the layout of the ship... in my opinion, I NEVER feel like it's overcrowded. Love the Solarium and love the fact there is a family indoor pool (just in case the weather is lousy). The staff have never been anything but kind and helpful. The food on the ship is okay... never went hungry... but I"m not a "foodie"... so the fact that it's just "okay", in my opinion, is good enough for me~~

Entertainment - Our second time seeing Spectra's Cabaret. We met Spectra on the pier, had a nice talk with him. I could certainly relate with him being in the music business as I'm in a rock and roll band part time. Very nice guy, he is deeply into what he does, and is a very outgoing gentleman.
His name is Terry Lavell.... and he's fabulous!!

Happy Cruising hope all is well. We are on your itinerary also in few weeks if you can let us know how many and where the Freestyle coke machines are located on board??
Thanks in advance

Freestyle machines on Anthem are located in the Windjammer, La Patisserie, and the Seaplex. I don't really remember how many of them there were. I think 2 in windjammer and 1 in the other two places, but don't quote me on that.

Sounds perfect. There will always be people more dressed up as well as those who look like they just finished plowing the north forty but what you propose sounds great. Have a wonderful cruise.
Now that's funny!!!! :D

Don't know about the Cabanas, but Columbus Cove has LOTS of trees that give lots of shade.
-
I've been on Anthem twice (2 more to come, this summer)... I never had a problem with the water temperature in the shower.
-
You dodged a bullet with that reservation. The Breakaway has probably the WORST design of any ship I've been on. The public spaces are small and crammed together. You feel "crowded" all the time. The adult area is laughable.... no pool, no hot tub, just a makeshift waterfall for you to sit under.
-
We stayed in Hotel 1898 - right at Las Ramblas... it was a very nice, clean place and a close taxi ride to the port.
-
We always like to get there around 10:00am because then you avoid the backup of cars that occurs as people pull up to drop off luggage.
Medical Emergency on Anthem (8/23/18) Sail

I was also on this Anthem cruise. There were people who went to medical to donate blood, but perhaps it was just to sustain until help could arrive. Also, the helicopter hovered for a while, Anthem DOES NOT have a helipad, so the helicopter could not land. It hovered in the back of the ship, by the Seaplex.
